Online presence

Do they now have an online presence?. There was no mail to that. Iam already planning on moving my investment from there. They took a good process over from Investment One and became incompetent with it. A whole outfit owned by GTB does not have an online presence nor a Mobile App.

My brother, the thing is still a big blow to me even till this moment. When I first got to know of the purchase of the mutual fund business from ione I was celebrating I even told my clients then that they are in for a big thing. To say the least, I was disappointed. Not that clients' money is not safe with them but the services are missed. I just hope they will wake up to the reality soonest that fund management is more than just having a big name.

With the last NTB 364-day yield at 8.99%, this rate will definitely drop soon. AXAMANSARD is the most proactive among them - when rates improve, they're always the first to adjust their MMF rate upward and viceversa. Now AXAMANSARD MMF is currently 4%!

4% is too bad.

It's a mixture of stocks and money market instrument. Stocks are volatile in the short term so the money market aspect is meant to smoothen that ride long term. If you had a drop in funds, then it would have been massive it was 100% stocks. As most balanced funds are 60:40 or 50:50.

Never put money you need short term in a stock based mutual fund or stock fund, you could loose money.

In practice balanced fund is for capital preservation and some growth in fund, or for older investors who cannot bear a short to medium term crash in their funds.

I believe it won't stay down for too long but it's currently 4.4%, a sudden drop from almost 11%.
Re: Mutual Funds by otomatic(m): 8:10am On May 14, 2023
Rates may be down for long if you consider that the Unclaimed funds trust fund being proposed by CBN will invest in treasury bills.

This trust fund will be made up of unclaimed dividends and monies in bank accounts that have been dormant for 10 years.

So that is free money in the market. There is a reason those funds are unclaimed. Most of them belong to dead people whose heirs have no idea of the existence of such accounts.

So once CBN takes over, most of those monies will remain with them in perpetuity.
This free money added with insitutional investors with so much money to throw around, may motivate them not to raise rates.

This is 'what we do' and not an online access. I know what they do. That link will not give me access to monitor my VGIF. Gone are the days of customers calling. Pass this message to them if you have access to them.

I'm just here wondering how hard it is for GTCO to setup a basic self-service platform for users.

is Easyinvest owned by GTCO or Investment-One?. If GTCO cannot come up with an online access, they should swallow their pride and use the Easyinvest of Investment-One.
