I agree we need wealthy owners but I don’t necessarily think we need to spend big for 5years to compete. What we need do is invest In scouts and a director of football that actually knows what he is doing, In 2years we should be in the same level with city.
I think we don’t need established players we need players that are very technically gifted,players we can get for next to nothing and are very talented and not already established names that will cost money and not live up to expectations. E.g scamcho,maguire.

Bro what you mentioned is basically a wonderful dream. We'll have to be really lucky for that to happen. And given our record, I wouldn't want to be relying on luck.

You don't understand how huge an influence money plays when building a great squad even with a good structure. We'll always have to rely on 3rd, 4th choices and hope it goes well.

You can star this. With Ratcliffe, when the time comes to rebuild the stadium, you'll see a level of scarcity of transfer funds you've never seen before.

It's both. He's a great coach but surely the fund's helped in building up that squad. Regular funding over multiple years.
Man literally does point and kill for players all over Europe.
Give a really good manager a chance to get his first choices over multiple windows and watch him build a formidable squad.
