Mugu Abuja is the federal capital territory añd headed by a minister unlike states with governors hence the difference abi do you have commissioners in the Abuja just like states where you have commissioners of transportation, education, works, budget, etc

It's not about some people it's about status, Abuja is a special status more like a special government headed by the minister of the fct because of its special status as the federal capital territory hence why you don't have commissioners of transportation, education, works, budget etc ....it is actually a federal controlled zone

They are not saying that other states results are not important. Kindly understand that in WAEC, you must score credit pass in English and Mathematics, it doesn't make other subjects irrelevant.

The constitution has said it, you must abide by the constitution

Supreme court has already judged that Abuja is not lesser or greater than any of the states.
It has the same status as a state in the eyes of the law.

Look, I want tinubu and APC out of power, and I don't even like PDP or LP even.

But people should stop harping on this FCT thing...because if it is correct, then that means that the FCT vote matters more than people who live outside the FCT

The reason why the and clause was inserted was simple. FCT is not a state, so for the purposes of the election it has to be treated as a state, hence the and.

But Obi supporters so believe they won, that they are harping on this FCT thing. To the point that they are championing an interpretation that would make votes in other parts of Nigeria of less importance compared to votes in FCT.

So, if I won elections in all the 36 states, but lost in FCT , and got 5% of the votes in FCT while my opponent got the remaining 95%, my win is invalid. (Don't come and be screaming that 'it is not possible' It can happen. It could.).

Many of them Obidients should calm down, and get ready for 2027. We lost because at the end, the oppositon vote was split. Once Obi left PDP, Tinubu's victory was assured.

WAEC is different from election. You read and write WAEC yourself and you must be scored based on what you wrote.
Election is determine by voters and because those in FCT might choose not to vote the candidate with the highest number of votes doesn’t mean he is not qualified to be declared a winner. If this explanation is not clear enough for you then you need to go back to JSS1.
It's enshrined in the constitution just like what Kadaria said Abuja is a federal controlled State with a minister as the head who was duly appointed by the president, hence why there is no gubernatorial election in Abuja and no commissioners

Physicist:
It is not logical that a candidate must have votes of at least 25% in FCT to win the Presidential election. If a candidate wins with a margin of 98% in 36 states but the same candidate polls 20% in FCT and some people insist there is 25% FCT provision that prevents the candidate from becoming President. Then, that reasoning is not logical at all.
In that case the principle of "res ipsa loquitor" which mean the matter speaks for itself.... you say 98% and that is overwhelming victory.....it is very much different from less than 50%

Honestly you BATISTS are so daft. Prior to now sensible Nigerians have been calling the Nigerian constitution as a confused document, but you ignorant lts dont understand it. Yes it doesnt make sense that a presidential candidate must acquire 25% before he is declared a winner but unfortunately thats what the constitution says.
The supreme court also affirmed it in its ruling on Buhari vs Obasanjo.

Ahmed Kadiri simply rechoed what is in the constitution and affirmed by supreme court ruling.

Until the costitution is amended, that remains a law.

And the law is no respecter of anybody.

You are the daft one here. Who is the governor of fct? Is he not the President? So you want to govern fct without getting their votes? The framers of the constitution were even mild, it should have been a 50% +1 requirement in fct.

It is not about ifs or buts. It is about your constitution, the content of the constitution says you MUST get 25% of the votes in FCT. Tinubu failed to get it as he was busy bribing and rigging in other parts of the country. Facts are sacred.

The 25% is needed in Abuja, as there’s no governor in Abuja, therefore it’s required to have the 25% cuz you’re the president and governor of FCT. Also this is a federal issue not a state issue compared to adeleke.

When WEAC says that you must have credits in five subjects which must include English and Mathematica, are they saying other subjects are less important.

The president will be ruling the nation from FCT. If over 80% of those in FCT which represents virtually all ethnic groups in Nigeria voted against you, it's a very big minus.

It also means that the high votes you got in other states were probably manipulated.

So, it makes sense to demand at least 25% in FCT. It did not demand you must win FCT. But have at least 25%. It's not too much to ask for.

Do you know English and Mathematic count as subject by default, now re emphasises that state "including English and Math" make it emphatically compulsory
As a student if you tell me chidi yu must have 5credit out of all subjects, in my head all subject are equal and any 5 should count BUT when you go further to single some out, Including Maths & english that is "Double Honor" on those two.

In the case of FCT, abuja is not a state by default meaning Nigeria has 36states...FCT no dey the picture, digest that
What necessiated the use of "and FCT" is becos when you demand 25% of 2/3 in 36states automatically you've disenfranchised Abuja becos by default they don't count, for the sake of inclusiveness the draftman had to find a way to bring in Abuja for count "by provision"
Meaning 36states count by default, and FCT suffice as a state by provision.
Now the constitution was so cautious not to use the word "including FCT" becos they know FCT has no existing slot among the 36, so the appriopriate word to make FCT eligble to be counted was "AND" .. so Abuja people should be grateful @least that the constitution saved them from automatic disqualification not Abuja telling us they are superior cos they are not

English & maths vs Other subject scores
By default = 1 vs 1
By Preference 2 vs nil
score line = 2 vs 1

36 STATES vs "and FCT" scores
By default = 1 vs nil
By provision = nil vs 1
score line = 1 vs 1
: A draw denotes Equals,

Assuming it was, must win all 36states including Lagos. that is a "double score" it means the constitution is re-emphasizing unlike the Abuja case.

This is the lowest form of explanation i can think of, NL sorry for the epistle undecided
