Being stable can never be predicted in Nigeria. May be when the stability ur waiting for will come before u get married u will now realized that ur giving birth to ur Gran kids instead of ur children and the strength have has shrink down.

Mine is getting married and starting a family without becoming financially stable yet. Its draining.

allow kids to have enough plays when young and that way they can hone their natural skills if any...there is nothing special about life so i'm gonna let them know and live it in a simple, sweet and carefree way without fear of failure (they should never be afraid to make mistakes) or rejection and they should realize always that home is where help is if all else failed them and lastly the manipulation of how our brain trick us into becoming our own number 1 enemy..

In as much they are deligent and focus with their doings, they should flex every bit of enjoyment opportunities (bang when opportunity present itself), because they won't get it again which will lead them to regret and they may want to augment which will make them to do worse.

Hmmm so you see sex as an accomplishment?

Attending a Polytechnic instead of a University. After my OND, I had a fantastic job offer in a reputable company with chances of career growth. I gained admission for my HND a month later and I resigned from the job because of HNDcry. I only realized what dichotomy meant after graduation. I had to restart my education as a 100 level student at a foreign university and will be graduating this year in my early 30s. Polytechnics/HND should be scrapped.
is it that it is not valued in Nigeria, because most people usually say it does not matter

I was overweight.

Obesity in childhood persists into adulthood with attendant cardiovascular, metabolic disorders and cancers.

I don't want that for them.

It's a good thing you worked hard to reduce your weight! How old are your kids?

My greatest mistake was not learning how to lie to people.

I don't how to lie nor cheat people.

My children have learnt same from me...and this may affect them when they grow up.

Mee too🥺🥺..

I wish I'm street credible, a better lier and not a good person. Because to survive in Nigeria, you will need the opposite of these traits..

Being honest and trusting have coated me more than helped me in life. Heights I would have reached if I have bent the truth to suit the situation...

It's well

Not learning about making money early enough.
Would also wish for them to get married a bit earlier, girls 23-25, boys 26-28.
allow your children to take dat decisions on dia own,to avoid having break marriages here and there.

Most kids cannot be forced to learn a skill.

Many want to keep up appearances and learning a skill does not help in their street credibility which is why many kids will not heed this your advice. You will realize this when your smallies come of age and begin to rebel you like you also rebelled your parents.
55truth:
Let's discuss as a family, those mistakes you made which you later regret and you wouldn't want your children to make.

Mine was going to the university without learning a skill and solely hoping to land a good paying job with the certificate after school. When "Nigeria" dawned on me, I realized I made a mistake by not fortifying myself with skills while going to school.

My children will not make such a mistake. If God approves, they will go into sports and entertainment from tender age.

Let's learn from each other.

I should hav accepted Jesus christ as my lord and personal saviour since I was a kid...

Tho I was a born Christian but I really dint care...

But when I remember what I passed through before I made it... then I realised if I had known him since was a kids... I wouldn't have struggled..
Honestly...the only essence of life, in my estimation, is to SINCERELY and completely live for Jesus. Nothing else matters.

Your children too will make their own mistakes. Live life and embrace the good and bad. They all have their different purposes in your life.
