She is the dependent, not my friend
Ah...case close.

Divorce her in absentia and her visa is automatically invalid.

There are three sides to a story, my contribution is based on the side I have heard.

Hi guys

Me again o.

Please I'm trying to apply for a CC but the application form doesn't have a space to input overseas address. Barclays card to be precise.

Any way around this please?

Also, is it advisable to
1) check eligibility first? My CS is 968
2) just put that I've lived in my current address for 2 years as against 9 months

You need to check eligibility first.
Are you using a Barclays account already?
If so, I think you won't see where to input other addresses until you try to apply. Their limit are also small, I was lucky to get £1200 from them Sha after tweaking things.
Lastly, there was no Hard print left on my record Sha.

Hello everyone. Pls help my friend, he's been a victim of dependent visa in the UK.
He met the said wife few years ago and they developed genuine relationship leading to marriage. Unknown to him the lady only stayed in the relationship and pretended to be in love because she knew of his plans to travel abroad one day.
Her parents supported her in all of these and deceived the guy and his family with marriage, he found out the truth few months after they arrived here. He's been devastated and depressed a lot of times. He spent 80% of the money to get them here.
Aunty has ran away from home and changed number, she blocked him everywhere and keeps uploading nice pictures online.
Has anyone been in this situation or knows someone that has been? How can he get justice pls. He has all evidence that relationship was genuine.
I will be in the comments

The only justice he should be seeking........ Is called DIVORCE........

Straight answer Yes. Unless you go for PhD 😥😥
Tier4Dependant:
After Jan 2024, Assuming I’m on PSW dependent partner visa and I switch to student visa to pursue a masters degree. What happens to my family (wife and kids) who are here with me? Does the rule mean they would have to return to Nigeria?

Viruses:

Who is the dependant now and what type of visa. I don't want to make any assumptions.
My friend who brought the wife in is on a student visa, while the lady is on a dependent visa. It's over 6 months now that she ran away from their house and blocked my friend from contacting her.
Is there any justice that can still be served assuming she has left the dependent visa for say a tier 2

How can a divorce work in his favor? What about what the government can do. This is like a case of sham marriage which is illegal

No platinum. Any idea on how to go about the address history

I won't advise the platinum.
Why not start with the Barclayscard first, considering the amount of time spent in the UK.
Just my opinion though.

Does anyone know how to or has anyone joined the British Army on here?

Just curious cos I see Nigerians joining the US army but I barely see Nigerians in the British Army or Navy

There are Nigerians in the British Army. I was one of them and I have since left many years ago. It's a good life if you are young, single and willing to travel the world; not so much if you are looking to have a family and/or professional career.

No
It was a genuine relationship that lasted two years here before they moved. The lady and her family hid her long term fiance from my friend, he didn't know about the other guy till after they landed in 🇬🇧.

Lol bigtt76 -UK enlistees do not get indomie citizenship😂

They are exempt from immigration control while serving, but they do have to regularise their stay when they leave the Army if they wish to stay in the UK.

Enlistees can apply for indefinite leave after 4 years of service:

You must usually both:

be leaving the armed forces or have left in the past 2 years
have served for a minimum of 4 years
There’s no minimum time you need to have served for if you’ve been medically discharged for an injury or illness that happened as a result of your service.

That's insane. If this "long term fiance" is on Tier 2, why did he not apply to bring her into the UK as his spouse/partner?

Her plans may very well backfire as her long term fiance might not be able to sponsor her on his visa. Plus she would have to get divorced officially first, marry her fiance and then reapply from Nigeria...not sure how she plans on staying legally if she is no longer her husband's dependent.
