Do I need to enter the country that issued the visa 1st? My visa was issued by Switzerland πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ but I'm traveling to Germany this Sunday and have no plans of going to Switzerland.

I was initially scheduled to speak at an event in Geneva but the visa came out late and I missed the event, so I no longer have a reason to enter Switzerland.
No

he doesn't have to sir.

He "has" to. That's the ideal normal process. Ofcourse quite often they don't bother or check but who knows when one may meet an over zealous border agent?

How do you intend to do that when you're supposed to provide hotel reservation, airline ticket and length of stay in the first country of visa issuance?

It’s all to do with your county, generally CT is much cheaper in London.

Bands G and H in England are over Β£3k . Band H is close to Β£4k, might be more in some boroughs.

Do they help if you don't have papers?

No, enlistees need to have valid residence rights to be eligible.

A stint in the army is a great segue into many industries like consulting. Employers value many of the skills that would have gained/developed, which are also transferable.

Hello Everyone! There is a furnished double room still available for rent (shared flat with bills inclusive) for a single person (preferably a female). Interested in sharing a flat? No guarantor required. Interested? Do you know someone who knows someone in Birmingham in need of a room? Please get in touch via email on oche_stephanie1@yahoo.com and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Yeah, true! Some are even higher than Β£4k actually, crazy stuff. In London, some Band H are below Β£2k sef. You can guess that Band A will be below Β£1k.

smiley. I believe you never had to. I never had to as well since the first time I travelled to the EU on a visa years ago.

I had a visa to a different state but I arrived in CDG. The border official asked why I said I was leaving to my destination and only connecting. He asked for my connecting ticket. When I couldn’t provide it initially, he asked me to go back. Lol. Go back where after I just flew in. Stepped aside connected to the internet and he still was insisting that the terminal was closed until a colleague stepped in

This was an even that I personally had to go through once. Haven’t suffered similar since but I always advice it’s better to err on caution especially for first time travellers.
