There's a whole lot that hasn't made sense ever since this thieves started talking about removing subsidy. NNPC have been the sole importers of petrol into this country since 2016 after the last administration came in. So who are they paying subsidy claims to? Remember the last President was the Minister of Petroleum and sat over those transactions and details which is strangely why subsidy payment multiplied in their tenure. Now instead of auditing the NNPC and carrying out forensic analysis to purge the rot from the system and sanitize the industry, they chose to end the subsidy payment schedule agta settling themselves for the past 8 years

That was why Obi said is an organized crime that we don't even consume the amount of fuel they've been budgeting for so-called subsidy so definitely it was just a way of looting the public treasury before now

Nigerians will manage till they vaporized, don't fight for your country, keep allowing politicians to dictate for you. Subsidy, politicians owned almost all the filling station, politicians are the same Marketer' s.
We must kill corruption first, before Nigeria cam move forward. All this managing technics means nothing, go outside people are suffering. President senators reps don't buy fuel at all. But they want the citizens to manage..

Invest in bicycles, scooters and skateboards
Skateboards in Nigerian roads? undecided

Maybe you think Nigeria is like America.

Another thing I hate about Nigerians is their primitive way of thinking. When they see you riding a bicycle they either tag you poor or acting childish.

When you start thinking about how people perceive you, you never live life to the fullest.

I just learnt it of recent and it’s has really helped me a lot. I only do me.

More tips

1. Know the exact size of your fuel tank if you have a car. If your tank size is more than 60 litres.

Sell it and buy a smaller car with a smaller tank and lower fuel consumption.

2. Embrace alternative sources of electricity like solar, inverters etc.

3. Buy energy-efficient electronics and house hold items. Discard your ox fan and buy a cloud energy standing fan that consumes just 10 watts

4. Buy food items in bulk. Talk to your friends and colleagues buy rice in bulk and split. Do same for meat, vegetables and other foodstuffs

Wish you luck

NNPC isn't the oil companies that mine the crude oil, with the direct sale direct purchase agreement with refineries abroad NNPC must pay the OICs and the refineries. But when the amount to be paid is more than what NNPC makes from local sales of petrol then subsidy comes in.

So the subsidy is paid to these OICs and refineries for the volume of petrol it brings in ryt?? The question now is, who are those marketers NNPC claims it is paying subsidy to??

Well said.

But nobody tells another not to rear children like pigs. By the time a stupid husband and wife pass through a hellish 9-10 months of another pregnancy after five or six children with mounting unpaid house rent in the midst of Mr Nackson not having more than two shirts and Mrs Open leg having been abandoned by friends and siblings who are tired of helping, I can assure you nobody needs to teach them.

Ithink you are right to some extent. But what about those unecessary spending we do that also not helping us, eg cable TV etc.

I love the use of the word " unecessary".
Truth is, if you can still pay for an expense then, it may be unecessary to an outsider, it may still be necessary to you. The cable TV you are talking about, by the time bodi tell person say things are no longer at ease, nobody will tell you to abandon your GOTV and DSTV to come Nairaland for news. By the time bodi tell person, nobody go tell you say free readers association members for junction no offend God.
And most importantly, you go realize.say, na lie from the pit of hell say Nollywood.dey teach lesson.

There is no subsidy

What just happened is fuel price hike

5km trek is the equivalent of a 1hr trek. That is very difficult. You need to adjust that to 1km.
5km is too much!
