If there is a chart, it can be traded.

The fundamental folks will need to check their usual macro conditions, inflation etc.

This is tantamount to saying, people in diaspora shouldn't trade on the NSE because it is priced in Naira.

Where or how do you register on AFEX? Does that mean there will be no need to now use Morgan if one registers on AFEX?

@thesilentone, your analogy is totally different. NSE is local and it's priced in Naira from day 1. Anyone that is interested in investing in NSE must have account in Naira irrespective of where he/she resides unlike commodities that are priced in USD and traded on Naira platform.

Some of my concerns are:
- Exchange rate risk: If the value of Naira depreciates against the USD, the value of your investments will decrease even if the commodity (for example gold) prices remain the same.
- Inflation risk: Naira often faces higher inflation rates compared to USD. This will also erode the real value of your investments over time.
- Lack of Local Regulation: My major concern. Since there is no regulator of commodities in Nigeria, the broker will be at liberty to misbehave. Nigeria SEC only regulate brokers on NSE, outside this, you are on your own! But a broker in regulatory environment will be cautious in cheating.

These are my personal opinion and should not be construed as being against anyone trading commodities with any Nigerian broker.

Are you the one pushing Omatek and buying TANTALIZER??
Better watch those stocks if you don't have solid reasons for buying.

As for Japaul, I'd searched and highlighted positive areas and possible factors that can make it toast of investors either now or in near future.
Financial wise, Japaul has good biz/ has been delivering good results and, with the new govt, things will most likely turn around for good for the Coy. Etc.

CHAMS also. Well positioned as Fintech Coy.

FTN COCOA: Future looking bright. Even read one article whereby the House urged the Fed Govt to support Cocoa farmers.

Try and check on others as well to be sure of what you're buying.
Anyone buying Daarcoms, my hand no dey o.
**Just my opinion. DD applies**

Looking bright if BAT administration will support them else they are on their own too think the company is somewhere in Oyo state and have passed the front of the place before if am not wrong, the look of the place alone with not give strong mind to near it. Just my view anyway. Make the money irrespective of the look of the company grin

Sometimes I feel like I write too much, so I limit my posts. I am a naturally quiet person.

I wanted to reply with the same premise as yours. The fees will include exchange rates, Morgan's, and the direct brokers. Unless you are a very skilled trader, the fees will hurt you more. My thoughts. grin grin grin

Everyone is talking about a global financial crisis. My question is, since it is global, will it start in Nigeria ni? Won't it first manifest in foreign markets before we feel the effects here?

That is how one particular individual is always posting about a generational low. Will this low start with the Nigerian markets ni? I am confused o. grin grin cheesy

The generational low might just be a wishful thinking. We may never experienced that again. The truth of the matter is that LPI are well positioned in the market.
The best those that anticipate generational low can see is Volatility of +/_ 5% in the course of which most stocks with good fundamentals will attain generational high value that would be grater than the best of 2017.

Borrowing is not my thing. I would rather manage the little I have than borrow. It is my personal philosophy.

However, if Zenith Bank's stock price goes back to 11, I will take out multiple loans, big time. grin grin grin

N11 is a bit high. Make it N5. That would be a generational low.

I think by Rabbi's definition of a generational low, ZB at N5 should qualify as one.

Note: I am 100% invested in the market and of course wouldn't mind buying more at generational lows.
