It’s a long and informative interview, which I would encourage all here to watch when they have the time.
However, in answering your question, focus on minutes 44 thru 50. He also discusses the challenges with the Nigerian setup.

Other African countries like South Africa, Zambia & Morocco are fine tuning their preparations for the World cup with friendlies but we are still stock with which player to include in our provisional list because of a home based player that NFF officials insist must be included because of FIFAs monetary bonus. I don't see Nigeria scaling beyond first round to be frank. If Waldrum finally leaves, its over for Nigerian women football. I heard that he has been paid his 7 out of 14 months salary.

NFF is the major problem behind what is going on now, Why force a Player on a Coach who already has and knows the players he wants for the World Cup…

Again the team have started gelling well, why bring in someone new entirely that hasn’t played under him once and he himself doesn’t want that player??

Randy has every right to be angry…! And I won’t even blame him if the Falcons perform poorly at the World Cup..
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 3:05pm On Jun 11, 2023
Until we start naming names and calling them out, we all here arepart and parcel of the problem.

I have always said that our biggest problem is not the players or coaches, it's simply administration.

She needs to work on Aerial balls. With all due respect she is pure thrash at that and very annoying cos she will start rolling on the turf or pick a fight to cover up grin

That’s Nigeria Women football League goalkeepers for you, She’s even better in that aspect, some are very worse and Shaky Shaky.

She will definitely get better as time goes on.

Anyway we’re Lucky to have Chiamaka Nnadozie.

That's not true. I don't see that from others. I understand one mistake but her own is very bad.

As stated here Randy recruited Abiodun Deborah to his Team Pittsburgh, so obviously there's no way she's not making the worldcup team

Doesn't work that way though. Deb was recruited earlier this year and she's missed a couple of our matches after her recruitment.

I'm almost certain she won't make the world cup squad except there's a home based quota and Randy choses to make a part of the quota. Outside that she isn't making the squad.

He already said he will be focusing 100% on his Pitt job and will step aside after the WWC.

Nigeria will be coached by Danjuma for the Olympics qualifiers, so you can expect a repeat of what happened during the last time, especially when you have a useless coach in charge.
God Forbid bad things, Danjuma should never happen to the SuperFalcons again.. Edwin Okon is even far better than him from handling the U20 to the SuperFalcons, at least he have a WAFCON trophy to show for it, Finnished 4th at the 2012 U20 World Cup in Japan.. Anyway I don’t want to see either of them in the Falcon team.

Our top Ex-internationals who are Coaches should be considered. By the way the fear of Colin Udoh won’t allow NFF give Mercy the Chance as many are saying that Mr Colin is one of the major reasons Mercy have been overlooked in the main time.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 8:32am On Jun 12, 2023
To some extent I had to pity Randy Waldrum cause the NFF ain’t helping matters.

The man is facing a lot of challenges from NFF, and the kind of environment he’s been given to work isn’t like what they give over there in the US..
