Watched the game live.

Fantastic assist. Sad that her goal was disallowed. Didn't feel they should have cancelled as Gotham was the one who kept the ball in play. Alozie has probably started the last five games now, and she's been delivering. The beauty of this is she can add to our attack should Randy choose to play her there.

Onumonu however has dropped to the bench. She hasn't started a game for some time now, with no goals at all this season. Not the best form to take to the world cup.

God Forbid bad things, Danjuma should never happen to the SuperFalcons again.. Edwin Okon is even far better than him from handling the U20 to the SuperFalcons, at least he have a WAFCON trophy to show for it, Finnished 4th at the 2012 U20 World Cup in Japan.. Anyway I don’t want to see either of them in the Falcon team.

Our top Ex-internationals who are Coaches should be considered. By the way the fear of Colin Udoh won’t allow NFF give Mercy the Chance as many are saying that Mr Colin is one of the major reasons Mercy have been overlooked in the main time.

Do you think the NFF have any intention to turn things around. They want a coach that can take their nonsense without revolt and of course someone cheap that they can also owe. It's why they are considering Danjuma for the falcons and Salisu for the Eagles.

Really hope their plans won't work.

Randy should find something new for Alozie on that flank. If na to play her like Victor Mose at Chelsea, no problem. Just don't play her st RB again. Na waste of attacking flair.

Alozie form going to the World Cup is something we should be happy about, but right now Randy have no plan for another at right back except he will have to Play Nicole there but moving Alozie upfront will definitely give him serious headache in terms of selection.

By the way I see Alozie performing well from that Right Back, all the team need is to make sure if she overlaps, the RCB and DM are there to cover up for her.. the likes of Lucy Bronze, Ashley Lawrence, Selma Bacha, Sakina are all attacking minded full back’s. The Coach set up can help the team

Maybe you can help us by listening some alternative Right Backs let’s see if they’re Capable cause as it stands Michelle Alozie is the best option even though her original position is upfront and Nicole Payne follows from behind..

Blessing Demehin can also play Right Back but she’s that defensive minded type..

You guys should watch out for Rofiat Imuran too.. The number of Speedy and versatile players we have is encouraging

That’s the point and the it’s also going to be difficult for the top Ex-internationals like Florence Omagbemi, Mercy Akide, Ayisat Yusuf Aromire cause this once are very exposed, having worked with FIFA, FIFAPRO and they’re no nonsense Coaches.

I remember when NFF asked Florence to move down to Nigeria and be Randy first Assistants Coach, she turned them down. These Ladies I mentioned above are very bold and knows their worth so it won’t be easy for the NFF jigijaga

What is Oshoala's fitness level though? She was holding her hamstring in the last game she played and it's why she also didn't feature in the UEFA finals.

...Randy should not try that nonsense, except Ify impresses in training, she is out of form, he better use Desire....We cant wait for a player to find their form back at competitions, you can try that in a league, not a competition that you just have 3 games to get a slot into the next round...

And this will be the ranking especially since Onumonu is returning from a hip injury

She can still do it as a RWB sha. She got passing, pace and eye for an assist. we need to maximize what we got and putting her in an attacking position is another way to Behind up our attack that usually fumbles st the world cup. Lets not forget our previous participation which was terrible going forward. Besides she comes back to assist the defence. Those ones you mentioned have been in extra woman situations than most so it makes sense. We no sabi do that one for now.

My brother, I have not been following the female teams for long so I don't know them that much. I know you have that knowledge so maybe you can help us with that.

I'm a big fan of Michelle Alozie (plus a slight crush too😉). I believe she is well suited for attack but vitally lacking in the defensive side of the game.

I wish we could get viable RB options so that she can move to the wings which is clearly her natural habitat. In my opinion, she is even a better winger than Ajibade who appears to be our first choice RW.

Sweden’s players had to “show their Instruments for the doctor” at the 2011 Women’s World Cup to prove they were women, the team’s centre-back Nilla Fischer has revealed.

Writing in her new book – I Didn’t Even Say Half Of It – Fischer – who played 194 times for Sweden, described the process, which was conducted by a female physiotherapist on behalf of the doctor, as “humiliating”.

The gender tests were carried out around the 2011 tournament in Germany after protests from Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana relating to allegations that the Equatorial Guinea squad included men.

“We were told that we should not shave ‘down there’ in the coming days and that we will show our genetalia for the doctor,” Fischer writes. “No one understands the thing about shaving but we do as we are told and think ‘how did it get to this?’ Why are we forced to do this now, there has to be other ways to do this. Should we refuse?

“At the same time no one wants to jeopardise the opportunity to play at a World Cup. We just have to get the shit done no matter how sick and humiliating it feels.”

Fischer detailed the process in more depth. “I understand what I have to do and quickly pull down my training pants and underwear at the same time,” she said. “The physio nods and says ‘yup’ and then looks out at the doctor who is standing with his back to my doorway. He makes a note and moves on in the corridor to knock on the next door.

“When everyone on our team is checked, that is to say, has exposed their vagina, our team doctor can sign that the Swedish women’s national football team consists only of women.”

Asked how it felt, Fischer said: “We had a very safe environment in the team. So it was probably the best environment to do it in. But it’s an extremely strange situation and overall not a comfortable way to do it.”

Two weeks before the 2011 World Cup began, Fifa issued its current gender recognition policies, which require teams to sign a declaration guaranteeing that players chosen for the World Cup are “of an appropriate gender”. Those rules state that: “It lies with each participating member association to … ensure the correct gender of all players by actively investigating any perceived deviation in secondary sex characteristic.”

However it is unclear why Sweden’s players were given a physical exam when a buccal swab test – a cheap and non-intrusive way to collect DNA from the cells on the inside of a person’s cheek and determine a person’s sex – has been used widely for decades.

Sweden’s team doctor in 2011, Mats Börjesson, said the gender tests took place after Fifa demanded immediate testing when rumours began circulating about there being male players on Equatorial Guinea’s team.

“Fifa doesn’t do this to be mean to anyone,” he said. “The sports world has tried to create fairness for girls so that they don’t train their whole lives and then someone comes in with an unreasonable advantage.”

In a statement Fifa said it had “taken note of recent comments made by Nilla Fischer around her experiences and gender verification testing conducted by the Swedish national team at the 2011 Women’s World Cup”.

Vida asserted that Alexa Putellas serves as an intermediary for the comeback of the other athletes. Putellas hasn't in any manner made use of her position of power and influence to bring about change. Spanish WNT primarily only reduced their collective power.

Congratulations to the Sky Blue Stars.

But according to CAF for them to get License to play in the CAF Champions League, they must have a Female Clubside…. Where does Reno Stars stand since they don’t have one..

Coming up with one shouldn't be a challenge quite frankly. Plus they can easily loan players just for that purpose. I however think remo will just start a female club instead of a make shift.

It's not a must for them to literally own a female team, they can have a partnership with any female football team in the country.

The Ikenne-based NPFL Club have started the journey to own a female club
The Chief Executive Officer of Remo Stars football club, Adedoyin Ogungbefun, has confirmed that the club will own a female club soon.

Ogungbefun confirmed to Pulse Sports Nigeria at the 2023 edition of the She Football conference in Lagos.

The She Football Conference is annual developmental initiative organised by the Ayisat Yusuf-Aromire Foundation to empower young female football players.

The theme of the conference is ‘Women’s Football Development Beyond Limits’.

Eight Female football clubs; DreamStar Ladies, Royaltoms Queens, Phoenix Queens, Lakeside Queens, Ijamido Queens, English Queens, Future Stars Queens, and Nakamura Queens will be competing in the SheFootball Cup on Saturday.

Remo Stars to launch female team

Speaking to Pulse Sports after the programme, Ogungbefun said that there are plans by the Ikenne side to have a female club set to start operation fully in 2024.

“Yes, there is plan for us to have a female team because we have plans for it already," he told Pulse Sports.

"Female clubs are not like male clubs, it is not an open-end thing, we can't just say we want to do open scouting because of the peculiarity of their nature, we are working on the club and by the grace of God next year we should have a female club.

He added that they partnered with the Sheconference to discover young girls that will be developed and norture to stardom.

“We partnered this conference to get players from the grassroots to give them time to develop."

Remo stars was founded in 2016 by Kunle Soname, they played in the Nigerian topflight league, the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Mana Iwabuchi has NOT been named in Japan’s World Cup squad ❌🇯🇵

Didn't get the game time at Arsenal or Spurs this season and had annoying injuries. Still, think this is a mistake thou. Can't beat experience and a match fit Mana is magic.

She has been to three previous World Cup, including the 2011 triumph.

I think despite a troubled season of form and minutes, you cannot keep her out. Unfortunately she did not perform well and did not see any game time and therefore should not be selected
this is how the selection should be and not like in Nigeria🇳🇬 where the NFF are forcing Players on the Coach..

When are we announcing our WorldCup squad and preparations now huh

WorldCup runs between 20 July – 20 August

"Each team has to provide to FIFA a preliminary squad of between 35 and 55 players, which will not be published by FIFA. From the preliminary squad, each team has to name a final squad of 23 players (three of whom must be goalkeepers) by 9 July 2023."

Sadly it's the team that suffers. The plan was for camp to open 20th of June in Lagos, but that isn't likely now cause of their faceoff with Randy.

I'm also very certain the problem isn't Randy as he would have submitted his list already.

Ntin concern Randy for this matter ooo, He already did his part. NFF are the ones delaying matters.

Same thing happened to the Super Eagles Coach, where he was forced to remove four names and add up compulsory ahbi na mandatory 4 home based players…
