Me too...
I fell in "like" with Udon after a trip to the Pacific. I like the beef Udon. Came back craving for it and I have been hooked. I make mine (Udon requires costly part of beef to make to get desired great taste) and sometimes dine at Japanese restaurants that offer Udon.
I used to stay away from thick noodles.

Pls I urgently need a recipe for coleslaw... A very simple one... Natin too bogus biko... Jus plain and simple... Iv got the carot, Cucumber and cabbage part down... Including d mayonnaise... My prob is in mixing it... It always comes out bland and tasteless sorta...

Add some salt, pepper (any ground one will work), and any acid (lemon or vinegar) to make the taste pop. You could also add some sugar/crisp apples and this helps ensure it hits all the palettes (sweet, savory, sour, and spicy) in your tongue.

The Nigerian side of my family calls it Concoction Rice, the Black American half of my family calls it Jambalaya—cooked a huge pot outdoors with plenty of chicken, beef, shrimp, pork, and sausage as my contribution to the Memorial Day Celebration.
