When Nigerians talk down on this country so badly it is usually because they have never travelled and therefore have very little knowledge of what other countries are like.

Kenyan police are the most corrupt in the world and love to harass Nigerians -- of course, to be fair, some of our brothers have taken drug dealing and yahoo over there so there is this natural hatred they have for us.

It is good for us. It will force us to fix our country.

How can the Indians differentiate between Nigerians and those from other African countries?
We all most likely look the same to them.

So, it's either Nigerians commit more crimes over there, or those from other African countries claim Nigerian nationality when arrested, to protect their countries' image (which I've read some do).

Why?
Well, because being Nigerians it's either they've committed a crime or they are about to commit a crime. So Kenyan police are just being proactive - arrest first, then later find out the crime they committed or about to commit

I live in Kenya, it's true because of what some bad reps of Nigeria had done. The last time I visited Nigerians, I was rounded up by the secret service police, cos I was not with my docs, I coughed out 16000kes = about #100,000 to bail myself. But that was then. I'm married here, speak their Kiswahili and even employing Kenyans. No police can dare do such now.

What Nigerians do in other people's countries can never be tolerated by any government. Nigeria as a country has a high tolerance for crime and Nigerians think other countries operate the same way when you let them in. Other nationalities commit crimes but Nigerians are the loudest and very conspicuous.

Buhari criticises Nigerian youth as lazy, uneducated

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday criticised the attitude of some Nigerian youth, saying they were only hustling to get on the gravy train.

“More than 60 per cent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free,” Mr Buhari was quoted as saying by The Cable during a panel appearance with world leaders at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London.

The president’s comment adds to an earlier one he made criticising Nigerian youth.

During a February 2016 interview with UK Telegraph, Mr Buhari said some Nigerians in the UK, mostly youth, are disposed to criminality and should not be granted asylum there.
