Good Evening All,

I have been following this thread for a couple of months now.

We got served breakfast for my son's application for the following:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

Main Details:
Minor 16+ years
Total POF N21.3m (about CAD62k at the time).
Total Cost: Annual Tuition of CAD17.2k, Living CAD11.5k, Others CAD3k and Flight 3k
4 years course duration

Timeline:
submitted on May 15, 2023 with upfront medical done and passed and refusal came yesterday June 17, 2023.

Main concern: School didn't require tuition deposit and none was paid. A lumpsum of N7.8m entered days before submission but sponsor account has in and outs of that range. letter of bonus payments was provided

Have submitted request for CBSA Gcms note today but timeline is really tight as admission is for Fall 2023.

It is quite easy to get approval for minor if things are done right. I used a 12M POF and my 17 years old daughter was approved in 2021. Always better if it is the parents. What are the sources of the 21M?. and what documentation were provided to support the relationship and the source of the funds?. Where will payment for subsequent years come from? Etc.

A sponsorship letter signed by her and a notarized gift deed are sufficient, but you can also add a Chequers if she’s doing the transfer through a Cheque. Make sure the transaction is visible in your own Bank statement and the description also tally with her details

She isn’t sponsoring me just gifting me some money of my living expenses, I am the sole sponsor…….
She is doing transfer to my bank account

She has gifted me money before but just thousand but this time is millions.

Do I need her birth certificate?
To show proof we are blood bear the same father name ?

This is a four years course. That money isn’t enough for four years. Did you show strong income on how you plan to pay for the subsequent years?

Hello, I would like to ask if this works

I want to apply for myself (female) and my spouse, my uncle in the uk is my sponsor and he wants to use fixed deposit certificate in my name as POF from him. He will tender his documents but I don't have any picture with him though we have same surname. I would like to know if it's okay. My home ties would be my registered business if 5years

If not, kindly advise

Tho d pegged CBN rate canceled out now ain’t good for international students but it’s d best decision for the nation’s economy. Students enjoying dat rate are few compared to dos taking advantage of that rate to sabotage our Naira

This is for someone residing in Canada currently.

If you know someone living in Canada who can request on your behalf, then you can pay $5: else, you have to pay more by using one of many websites. Just type the word "...order for gcms notes..." on a search engine.
It can be ordered for free at this same site . Choose privacy act option , that’s d only option for someone requesting for his/her notes outside Canada. And also choose cbsa instead of ircc .. cbsa notes come out faster within 30days

You don't need sponsorship letter.
Ideally you would have needed only a notarized gift deed. However, in order to be on safe side, add pic of you and you sister, transfer receipts of previous commitments, and in your sop, briefly explain what she does so as to make sense why she can comfortably gift you millions of naira. You can attach her birth certificate

They seldom deny applicants of such age
( minors) genuine study visas .
Request for the gcm notes.
Re apply with correct documentations .
He may need a legal custodian there ,
Sponsor also need to show evidence of streams of income to support tution fees .
Seek right counsel from this forum & re apply
Good luck

Thank you guys. Very good points . Still surprised but hoping the GCMS notes comes out early enough for us to reapply as earliest as possible.

she needs to write a signed etter of financial support....

In the letter She will have the opportunity to explain the relationship with you her source of income or employment
She should say how she will or have given you for living expenses or any other expenses and any proof of previous financial support!
She will enclose her birth certificate, bank statement, ID in the letter.
If available Any other document for source of funds

Since you are sponsoring your self enclose your bank statements, source of funds total funds available for the course in SOP..

Hello house.

Has anyone been admitted to Confederation College?
1. How long does it take to get admission after application?
2. What’s the tuition deposit amount for first semester? How many months after admission can you pay the remaining deposit for first semester after first deposit. Like is there enough time to use form A for the first semester tuition balance

Bro did you get a response to this question? Especially the tuition deposit

Is the IELTS compulsory for Nigerians??

Thanks,

Thank you for this information. I used to pay $5 to get it within 10 - 14 days but will try this option out when I am not in a hurry (when I can wait for 30 days). Thank you.

Your uncle shouldn’t fix any money in your name and he shouldn’t submit any fixed deposit account. Rather he should transfer funds that will be enough to Cather for your tuition and living expenses at least for a year into your account.
Also you will have to proof beyond doubt to the visa officer your relationship with him. Has he been taking care of you or sending you money before now? Those are the evidence the visa officer will want to see.
Couple with your business, your husband and the kids can stay behind as home ties and later you file for them. It shall end in praises

Please is it necessary I should write my UCI number on my new study permit application on IMM form?

Note: I have submitted my passport for my visitor visa approval but yet to collect the passport.

Not compulsory. If you leave it empty, as long as you apply with same acct, your study permit will still have Same UCI number as the visit visa

Today's exchange rate to use

NGN to CAD: 0000.00221680
i.e N1= 0000.00221680 C$

Inverse
1÷0000.00221680
= N451
Divide your Naira by approximately 452 for your POF
