For the guy looking for a stock to buy at his own peril.
I am recommending International Breweries to you because it has been tick out for rally. If you buy international Brew today, you will make cool money in a couple of days.

Give it a trial and thank me later.

Your viewpoints are valued, however, it's important to remember that investment goals vary greatly from person to person. When we offer advice, we must consider the investment objectives of each individual. If you anticipate a market will dip, but my strategy is focused on the company's annual dividends, our strategies will understandably not align. This doesn't signify that one of us is more insightful than the other, merely that our strategies differ.

As a case in point, I have held onto certain stocks for many years (even as a trader) with no intention to sell. I've seen the prices fluctuate, drop to the original purchase level and rise again, all the while I've enjoyed the dividends. An example is my stake in Zenith Bank, acquired at N10. On the other hand, there's BankPHB, a long-term investment that I undertook due to the seemingly "excellent" management, which is now just a piece of paper.

Learn to understand and respect the varying investment perspectives. It's absolutely fine to present your insights, but there's no need to disparage anyone in the process. Let's aim for a constructive exchange of ideas that respects all viewpoints.

Thanks for this valuable explanation. I'd like to learn. Can you point me to a group or links? Also can u suggestion me some stocks to buy at my peril for a tryout?

Get a broker first...

Tell us your location so that the group can guide you on that...do you prefer a broker with an office near your location or do you mind doing transactions solely online?

Personally, I use investmentone as my broker.

There are other options...

@Bullbearmkt, which broker do you use and how does the broker process your dividends?

After you get a broker and fund the acct, then we can talk more on style of investment....

Btw, is your budget above or below 1 million naira?

Your budget will determine the type of stocks you should look at.

Intbrew is at a good price point to buy but

They have not paid dividends for years

They are still paying back some of the loans

It will likely rise but the when is uncertain...

Also, we don't know how much bibs4all ,budget is?

Anyway, what do you guys think ...which is better based on fundamentals, custodian investment plc or interbrew?

grin UNITYBNK ...

Sentimentally, if jaizbank that has up to 34billion OS, is selling for N1.80, then unitybnk of only 11billion may sell twice that price before the end of this mad bull.

Pls don't say, Pastor told me to buy oo. I'm only exercising the knowledge I've accumulated for years

I honestly don't know what your mission is.....but, I think you should be fair to people posting here too.....myself inclusive.....cos I know I'm one of those you're referring to directly or indirectly.

If you'll be fair, you'll know that all stocks are being discussed here, and, I think we've dwelt much more on dividend paying stocks as well as f.ug.az mostly... especially for newbies.

How is mentioning ACCESS, GT, UBA, FBN, MTNN, AIRTEL, and others in that category misleading??

So, if value is sighted in other stocks including penny stocks, it shouldn't be mentioned here again because to you, it's misleading?

If you don't want gains during this period, at least allow some others to make some money. NSEMPAS are not the only ones trading in this market, we also have other local and international players; the fund managers, govt parastals, companies, brokers and quite a lot of players. Some of these experts see these things before us in most cases self.

Don't stop reminding us about your generational low as well because we don't want to be carried away. Do more research and pls do well to be keeping us informed.

Btw, our miracle stock is trading at another +10% today again.......on full bid! lipsrsealed

My recommendation is based on the fact it has been ticked for a rally by players outside here and few members here.

I no dey buy dividend paying stock.
I no dey buy long term stock.

Na stocks wet dey move within days/weeks I dey buy and move to another.

International Brew is where traders belong now.watch out

I don't share that sentiment that people should invest what they can afford to loose.
Many have burnt their fingers and have never returned to the market again.
My own no 1 rule is do not loose money.

You know what I'll suggest for you as a newbie?
Buy UBA or ACCESS or DANGSUGAR

* If market goes down, you have your interim and final Dividends to hold body till the price correct or adjust itself back.
* If market goes up, all well and good, you'll get capital appreciation as well as your dividends.
* If market goes down, it will only present you with opportunity to buy more at cheaper price to average down your cost price.

Loco suggested Interbrew, well, if you so wish, you could pick some units if you think you don't want to miss out of the anticipated rally (if it occurs).

Try and surf thru some past pages of this thread, you'll learn one thing or the other that could make you better as an investor.......and, don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any.

Sometimes when we entered a penny stock we come here to advertise it and when those uninformed people enters will exit and leave them to their Fate. It might be a close friend or family that peep here then sees predictions up and down cos Market is moving then enters only to be stranded. A friend chatted yesterday if he could buy japaul and my response was that I don't really know much again about the company and am not interested about knowing it wt that he has known my stand on the stock. If he comes here and sees the stock being projected positively by those who wants to exit, he will enter and become stranded at the end where as the advertisers of the stocks have long exited
You are just everywhere over any posts on this platform. Why not just take a chill and relax for a while and observe over a period of time so that you can be better off. I doubt if anyone here has an ulterior motive as you have opined. I will use myself as an example, before I put up any stock here, be rest assured that I have already bought it or is about buying. I dont give out any stock I cannot buy to anybody. I have Japaul and gave the reasons why I bought. They are currently handling a dredging project for KING SMART CITY PROJECT in lekki Lagos, of which part of the money for the project is already reflected in their Q1 2023 result.

Above notwithstanding, we are all learning and will keep learning. Even financial experts all over the world sometimes fail in their analysis, meaning that you should not expect every prediction to always go right, but then don't misconstrued it as misleading because it was done in good faith. I rest my case for now.

Absolutely! It's of utmost importance that those who are new to the stock market take time to educate themselves prior to opening a brokerage account. This cannot be emphasized sufficiently.

It's true that no amount of theoretical knowledge can fully prepare one for the reality of the stock market. At least, you've acquired the basic knowledge and if any "monkey hunter" showed up, you can make informed decisions by yourself instead of relying on a 3rd party.
