One thing this guy doesn't know is that, if Anambra people move in droves to the south east, it will affect the population of Lagos to an extent, which reduces the huge market that Lagos is.
If the other south easterners relocate to the south east, it will further reduce the market pull of Lagos, thus making it less lucrative for business establishments to set up.

If the SSners in Lagos also move their businesses to the SS, Lagos will immediately revert to Abeokuta, with many federal investments.
The gravitational pull of Lagos, as a business capital will be gone for good.

Of course, we all know the guy is a hireling of Sanwolu and Tinubu, who want to avoid any backlash following the xenophobia and tribalism that has been introduced in the Lagos political arena.

If Anambra people heed the call, it is likely other southeasterners will follow suit.

While I am not a fan of Soludo, following his anti-Obi rants over the past few months, one thing I know is that Soludo will be wise enough to develop a space or a city, possibly even a coastal city at Oseakwa, that can comfortably host a seaport, allowing the traders to bring their goods directly into Anambra.

I haven't seen or read the small prints of the Soludo call, but I will advice that he encourages Anambrarians to move their HQs to the southeast, thus ensuring that quite a good chunk of their tax responsibilities, are paid into the Anambra state government coffers. They can still maintain satellite shops in Lagos.

Go ahead and do that let’s see.

Displace with empty mouth? Do you how much it takes to establish business and the level of financial discipline needed to run it successfully? Even before Soludo said this, businesses are already moving back to East seriously

The movement that started since after the war and saw small towns like Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi becoming an economic force to reckon with? The movement continues, but nobody is boycotting Lagos as that was not what soludo said. We will continue packing money and reinvesting in the East. We will only move when Nigeria breaks up

How can they move at once, when the Lagos state government is paying millions encouraging people not to leave Lagos.

This article is a case in point.

You and your ilks can't stop making some of us laugh! So it is an artcle that stops you from moving home in droves? Wow...them tie una leg?

Business is one forte where the igbos thrive but outside that every other thing you want to do is ALWAYS this way.

When the Yorubas and the Hausa want to implement a policy, they just do it but the igbos its ALWAYS this unnecessary back and forth and at the end nothing of substance is done!

Another example comes to mind when the Southwest governors met and sharp sharp Amotekun was setup to curb the herdsmen issue but with you people hmm...u sef know how far!

The state assembly speaker spoke about this ONCE and plans are underway to make policies to favor Lagos but you will think your governors will be thinking policy and engagements to lure in investors but NO-noise noise and more chestbeating noise is all you got! 4 years from now nothing will happen!

You are very free to stay put in lagos and continue receiving yoruba insults and possibly bodily harm soludo is no way forcing any anambra or igbo person to go back home all he is saying which makes absolute sense no matter how u look at it is for igbo successful business people in lagos to remember where they came from and make it a livable and prosperous place just like lagos cause if they don't make it so their hosts the yorubas will never respect them.
What is the need to continue doing business and reinvesting all ur hard money in an environment that doesn't respect ur basic human rights? Is making more money now more important than ur human dignity? If you don't make the necessary sacrifice of developing ur region who else is going to do it for you?. Only a complete bastard will write like this poster. Onitsha is a well known market in nigeria and even the whole west africa saying that igbo lagos business people who relocates to Onitsha will perish clearly shows this writer is not only very foolish but an slowpoke who doesn't even know anything.

Leaving lagos is not the solution to the facing faced problems, but instead, establishing new businesses, investing building at homes, and sending money home when neccessary would help... Let's learn to invest, build & live at our homes instead of clustering other bigger cities because of money, thanks
Re: Charles Soludo Call For Lagos Boycott, Frivolous: by Diego35M: 1:37pm On Jun 27, 2023
But another problem faced in igbo Iand is self-hatred, envy and anger, igbos only love theirselves outside their regions, but hate theirselves within - let's work on that, and be careful other tribes esp. yorubas & some others, igbos are peace-loving people but does not fear conflicts or wars

Lagos State is not made up of Central Lagos or whatever you call it.

Show me the Pictures of Lekki, Ajah, Sangotedi, Ikorodu, Epe before the arrival of Asiwaju and his Boys.

Asiwaju and his boys made Lagos what it is today.

Delta/Warri do not have capable guys like Asiwaju and his boys, that's why the city of Warri is dead and can't compete with the City of Lagos

Hope you know the City of Warri and Lagos is on the same level before? Or you wan argue this known fact?

Gbagada of the 1970's,80's and 90's can't compete with the present day Gbagada.

You can start showing me pictures of the old gbagada make we compare

Lagos is at this level because of Asiwaju and his boys

So is ur tinibu that built all the major infrastructure like the apapa port, 3rd mainland bridge, lagos airport etc that gave lagos a heads-up and an edge over other states in nigeria?

Why is Warri not still competing with Lagos State even though they were both going head to head before?

Seaport have been existing in Warri and Lagos before Nigeria was created, they were both thriving together but poor leadership have run Warri aground while Lagos is still thriving because of good leaders like Asiwaju.
