How did it happen?

My biggest regret is not studying quantity survey when I was giving admission to study that a decade ago. I find it as one of the useless course so far without knowing it is a very nice course.

Now my mate that took the bold opportunity to studied the course is doing pretty well for himself. Job upon job want to kill him in our community now.

Data collection or land survey?

That I didn’t travel abroad when I had the financial wherewithal and ability to. Everyday, I live in depression because it’s been hard to recoup all I had lost. I was being charitable and carrying family/friends problems. Now nko, where them dey? The most painful part is that they don’t even remember the times when there was surplus.

It’s been so fuckîng hard to recoup. Will I even be able to? I’m not even talking 1M here. Millions. Omo, let me continue living with hope hoping that someday, sometime, luck will smile on me again. Even 9-5 work no fit give me that kind money in 3 years. I fuckîng hate this life.

Want kill most of us in Nigeria is that we tried to force ourselves to school with the hope that we will secure an imaginary job that is nowhere.
It makes most of us to waste our time instead of realising earlier that there is no job anywhere, rather we have to craft out the job ourselves.

How did it happen?

I wanted to leave the country back then.

Got admissions everywhere England, Usa, and Poland I felt finally I have arrived but unfortunately I got dupped.

Lost every penny in a flash, I couldn't even afford to feed myself.

That day I died inside and till today I will never recover from the shock.

The only reason I'm still is because I'm a coward that can't bear a little pain to end it all.

I wish I could go to bed and never wake up.

time in school is never wasted, there are people who wants to be on nairaland as you, but can't because the knowledge of how is not there. that is just the least. have you ever imagine how it would be coming across many written signs and all you could do is just walk by without knowing what is on a single one? more like the blind mehn. education is never wasted, forget the present situation, later you will appreciate it.

Well, I don't necessarily do regrets as such but if there was one particular moment it would be this job I didn't take. I was to be the head of operations and deputy to the manager in my late 20s.

Technically I wasn't qualified for it but someone who really believed in me connected me to the owner and negotiated a higher salary than what was advertised.

I could have eventually become the Manager of that company because the guy resigned and the head of operations was promoted into the role - this would have opened doors for me way ahead of my career progression.

Now here's the funny part - when I decided to apply again, this time without going through my connection who was still angry with me, they didn't even call me for an interview.

Attending higher institution instead of learning a skill after my O level

Don't ever say that again.

There is no guarantee that you will make it or not even if you learn the said skill after your secondary school. Majority of those that chose the same path earlier are Okada riders today, some can't even feed their families with the said skills today.

Please appreciate your degree and use that as template to achieve more in future endeavours.

My course of study, I regret wasting 7yrs studying dis shitty course and now I get depressed almost everyday of my life😢

it's knowing how to play betting....that is the biggest regret of my life...and the 2nd one is that I think too much ....I can think on how to buy something in the next 3 year....and very nonsence thinking.............its affecting me and my physique.......can someone help me out on how to stop thinking so much
