Preach on. Years ago i did this maths, and have stuck with the money market fund, with no single regrets, I have seen an average return of 10.5% which definitely for my long term plan, so why should I jinx it?

When I compare the overall trend of the Nigerian all share index to the US total stock market over a 20yr period, I was more than sure where I would like to trade.

I sincerely respect those who have thrived and are thriving in the Nigerian stock market, and will continue to learn from you guys until it makes sense.

Please what is the best way to consolidate different stock broking accounts? They have different CHN, it's too expensive selling from one house and buying same stock in another, and 1 of the firms is no longer active. Is there a way I can move all of them to one house?
I also noticed that I receive more dividends than my number of shares (for GTCo). I suspect that maybe I didn't receive one of the share certificates then when they were issuing bonus shares. How do correct the number of shares on my CSCS account?

Please note that what you wish to do is possible.

Two ways to consolidate for the stockbroking firms that are active.

I will give you the best since that is what you want.
First make sure your KCY is updated in each of the firms that are active, then pick the target stockbroking firm ie the firm where you want all your stocks to be domicile in and intiate an inter member transfer process.

They will give you some forms to fill including KYC sometimes. In collaboration with the target firm, you will meet the residence firm ie the firm you are moving stocks from they will do their part of the process and together with cscs, all the stocks will be moved to the target house.

For the house that is not active, the target firm will give you another set of requirements which will involve you contacting cscs to get your statement of the stocks in the non active firm.

Once the relevant forms and requirements are met, the stocks in the dead firm will be moved to the target firm.

Note: the requirements are what an average investor can get and all the processes described above have some fees attached.

The whole process can be done max three weeks or less if you devote time to it.

For the GTBank shares, visit Datamax registrars with a means of acceptable ID and complain that your shares in your cscs is less than what you have and that you wish to know your holdings.

Definitely the registrars has the accurate number of units you have.

Once it's confirmed, they will most likely issue you a demat form which you will now take to the target stockbroker to process it into you consolidated cscs account.

If your target firm is investment One it makes the process a bit easier because I will be involved. Otherwise you can still achieve it even if investment one is not among the firms you are dealing with.
It's a standard regulatory directives and processes

What is your opinion.
Thanks
ETI just rallied above its 6 month high. If price could close above 13.20 by end of Friday, price will likely be targeting 20 and above 22.

ELLAHLAKES has been listed on the NGX for 3 or 4 years without generating any revenue. I didn't even know it was possible to list a company that is not generating revenue. They are involved in cassava and palm oil, and this penny stock looks like it could 5x in value once they start generating profits. But until then... undecided

Isn't 4 naira equal to 0.5 pennies based on the current exchange rate or is penny not equal to one cent again? cheesy

The numbers for champion brewery from that report isn't bad. It just that they haven't paid any dividend in a long time. The year they promised to resume payment, COVID-19 and lockdown spoiled business. Hopefully they can return value to shareholders.

NIGERIAN ENERGY STOCKS
Investor's interests renewed on Nigerians Energy Stocks as the sector is closed to it's best quarterly performance in nine years ......
* MRS, CONOIL and ETERNA have returned over +300% each as gain, while SEPLAT too hasn't done bad at all.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/business-news/607080-nigerian-energy-stocks-close-in-on-best-quarterly-performance-in-nine-years.html

As for OANDO, isn't there anything that the shareholders can do in the market to force the Management to increase the exit payout??
Like, if the price should go far up in the market before next court sitting in October or something?

Someone also mentioned this here but can't remember the moniker again....

You're right sir........but we know Oil Sector has been down for long and just coming out of the wood this year due to the new and positive reforms.

It got to some stage that it was almost not reckoned with again. Little or no patronage, prices fell ridiculously, revenue decreased, dividends almost not forthcoming in some, some are opting for delisting, and all that.

What led to ARDOVA opting for delisting??
Was it not the problem in the sector??
* ARDOVA paid Otedola N66+/share to purchase majority stake in FO, but what happened thereafter?

* The share price fell and continue to fall down to N12 or even below and ARDOVA run into considerable loss over losses, and can't afford to pay the remaining minority shareholders up to N20 naira again!!
Now, the 17.88k buyout price was even generating lots of issues btw mgmt and shareholders, but that was what ARDOVA claim could afford to pay!

As for OANDO, see how shareholders lost fortunes, with the price touching 3!!

Well, the significant rise started this year. smiley

Ellahlakes is not new entity on the NGX. It was as old as the exchange itself. It only got new funds injection with new management. It requires some patience before the benefits of the new effort and funds injection will start yielding the expected results.

I sincerely wish there's a way shareholders can get some respite here.

If only those minority shareholders that took Oando to court can withdraw the case, maybe things will be much better for them.

It was the exit price that pegged both OANDO and ARDOVA's share price at a spot and prevented them from moving up alongside their peers in the industry.

INSURANCE Sector is also coming up, recording significant increase gradually as well.

When OGG kept mentioning it I had to do some digging. I hope I can still find some of the materials I stumbled upon. The Financials are nothing to write about at the moment but it doesn't stop speculators driving up the price. I may take a look at it again in another 6 months or thereabouts but there are better options for my money at the moment. It is a long term play (minimum of 5 years, given the dynamics of biological assets).

Visit their website and go through the quarterly reports for the 2023 financial year ending April 30 and compare with prior year. Check the cash and retained earnings. You will get the answer to your query.
