Thanks alot for the big insight @Tier4Dependant.

This is going to be a lengthy wait. Its tiring. They said last week that they are awaiting the outcome of the sponsorship. I hope there's nothing to worry about? Is it right to go ahead with medicals incase?

Tier4Dependant:

If they have available CoS allocation, they should assign to you immediately.

But if they have used up their annual allocation, it could take up to 18 weeks for home office to grant their request for additional allocation.

Except they apply for priority at £200 which is not sure that they might get approved.

Home office approves only 60 priority requests in a day and they get up to 200 requests daily. If the priority request is not successful, they try the next day and that’s how it goes on and on. Most employers give up and just stay hopeful the CoS lands before 18weeks.

This one looks like someone that was left to raise himself. It’s unfortunate.

NHS people… If you decide to register on the bank and pick bank shifts with your trust i.e the trust that sponsor you, does it count as overtime or additional job (second job)

House, I need some advice. I am currently in Scotland on a Student Visa doing a Masters (to be completed in January 2024) in an IT-related course. I have received a job offer (with sponsorship) for a tech role. I am married with 2 children. Does it make sense to switch to a Skilled Worker Visa now? I still want to complete my Masters.

Who masters truly help in this uk... so many jobs don't need master to get the role or to do the job

If I were you I would switch and then think how I can do the rest of the masters part time or online

I switched to the Skilled Worker Visa while still doing my Msc, graduated 5 months later.

It is not additional job if your working with the same company that sponsored your COS. Remember pay as you earn (PAYE )

Thank you so much sir, we are using Natwest already...its a great bank. I just feel we should have another one for the joint account

I'm sure nothing will be wrong with using them for the joint account as well.
It will help you manage everything from one place.

I use Lloyds bank for everything and they've been great so far.
My husband and I created a joint account for the rent and other bills.

If you open their Club Lloyd's joint account, you can get Disney+ channel yearly subscription as a bonus.

Not at all as I was meeting up with my academic obligations, submitted my dissertation when due. It was a month to the expiration of my Tier 4 visa that they wrote me to remind me and I replied to them that I had already switched, they congratulated me and that was the end.

£600/700 bills inclusive in those places you mentioned will be quite hard. You might be lucky if it's without bills.

God

I'm tired already.

Maybe I should start looking for 3bed apartment/house that can be shared with two other couples without kids too. £2000 per month bill inclusive would fly yea?

Thank you for your reply

3 couples plus children in a 3 bed house is overcrowding and won't work

Let me advice you based on my experience so far, if you switch, be ready to face the challenges that comes with it. It's is not easy, switch and complete your studies since it is related to the job offer...you will need it sooner or later.
Don quit school because of the offer available to you right now please, switch and face the consequence squarely...last last...you will be happy you did.

It's hard to balance school and work regardless of the shift ( nights or day).
You can't be in two places at the same time so you will sometimes have to leave class for work.
It may affect your results or score
You will look stressed almost all the time.
These are some I can remember for now..
