But if you did (and today is day 14 after submission), Upwork will release the funds to you by 1am tonight if the client does nothing.

Well, you have a point. But you can't compare traditional banks with a Fintech like Geegpay. If things go south, traditional banks have better chances of helping you recover your lost funds, but with upcoming institutions such as Geegpay, not so much.

But other fintechs do. For some of us, we keep dollars on Geegpay, convert to naira, and then send to workers. And it was one of their selling points when they started.

I think it depends on your state and perhaps luck too. I applied for mine since Dec 2022 and only received it July 4. That's 6+ months.

nothing special, I just follow the link then requested for the number.

Maybe you need to visit the nearest tax office as they said.

Put your NIN there and you're good. It's what I did and I've been withdrawing my funds without any hitch

Whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well.

Upwork has been deducting your tax, the least you can do is make sure it gets to the government.

I was stuck here for about 3 months too. I visited their office and got it under 10 mins.
