But I can't be nothing compared to my language.

There's hardly an adult Yoruba or Igbo person that don't know how to speak it. But I I have men and women in their fourties and thirties who can't speak our native tongue. Some that kind speak it can't even speak it fluently.

You're correct bro. I hardly see Yoruba or igbo adult who cannot speak their dialect. And also in igbo states or Yoruba states they communicate strictly in their dialect except they know you're not an igbo or a Yoruba person. Unlike here in Edo state where pidgin English is our primary dialect for communication

One thing I like about Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa is that you hardly see their tribesmen who don't know how to speak it. Even those that weren't brought up in their locality still know how to speak it..

But most of my my tribesmen can't even speak it including some that were born and brought up in their locality. I have many friends who have never lived elsewhere other than Edo State but can't speak the language..

It's only Edo State English (pidgin) is mostly used to communicate by the general public. But when I travel to other States, I can easily identify the State with my eye closed because they mostly communicate in their indigenous language...

Edo remains the heartbeat of Nigeria though.

From your first paragraph i knew it would be Edo. For some reason it seems Edo parents are not too keen on passing on the language.

Do not be surprised if Davido and Wizkid children can speak the language. Yoruba and Hausa languages are the only languages that may not easily go into extinction especially the hausas because of their high illiteracy level.
Many rich folks here in Lagos contract Yoruba teachers to teach their children at home. The parents communicate with the children in Yoruba although some of the children answer back in English.

Nigerian languages became useless the day the British colonized Us and the rest of the world

It makes some with kolomentality, who can't speak any Nigerian language feel funky.

While the Spanish and French just see them as useful Man Fridays. A poor immitation of themselves. A wannabee.

These same Spanish and French people, on the other hand, worship Davido, Wizkid and Burna who are not wannabes and selling authenticity.
