do4luv14:The last update Franny gave on her Instagram story (2 days ago) showed she was on her way to the airport. Not sure if she's in camp but want to believe she is Halimatu Ayinde however hasn't left her Sweden. She was on the bench yesterday when her team played. I'm assuming he club is sticking to the minimum time allowed for them by FIFA to release her (I think 10 days to the world cup). Good news is she won't be playing the first game anyways, so that allows her another 15 days with the team before our second game. |

Like NFF like England FA The disrespect these ladies have faced across federations is something FIFA should look into. You can invest so much in hosting a world cup and what dominates the news line is the rifts between players and their associations.

The F.A can't pay what they don't have , where do you want them to get money to pay these bonuses without sponsors ? How many brands in Nigeria has come out to endorse falcons for women world cup ? In the men game they can easily get biggest companies in Nigeria to endorse the super eagles for a big tournament like world cup and make billions even though most of the money will be shared among few NFF cronies lovewins: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 10:59am On Jul 09, 2023 |
isan:Where do I start from. I'll come to the sponsorship lie later, but les stick with the bonuses for now. The Falcons are paid significantly less than what the eagles earn, so the conversation isn't even that they be paid the same thing. They earned maximum $1000 allowance (last WAFCON figure) and were to get $3000 winning bonuses. As at 2018, the Super Eagles got $15000 each (Don't know if they have reviewed it) so you can see the disparity. It's also important to note that the ladies aren't asking the NFF for money they don't have. There is something called "Qualifying Bonuses" that FIFA gives to each FA by virtue of their qualification to the world cup. Historically, the national teams gets a percentage of that money. In 2022, before the Ghana game, the Super Eagles had negotiated to get 35% of that money (about $870k from the $2.5m each association were to receive). Sadly the Eagles didn't qualify. The NFF however will receive at least $1.56M as a result of the falcons qualifying. The amounts significantly increases if the get to the knockout stages. What the ladies are entitled to is a percentage of that money, the NFF however has chosen to deprive them of it cause of the $30k each FIFA is giving each players. So they aren't asking for money the NFF doesn't have. They are asking for what is due them by qualifying for the world cup. Mind you, this isn't peculiar to Nigeria, it's done all over the world. The England men's national team for instance don't collect bonuses, they donate it to causes, however a percentage of what the FA receives from FIFA for tournaments goes to the players. It's standard practice. So the conversation isn't the girls asking for the same things the guys earn, neither are they asking for money the NFF potentially doesn't have. They are asking for their portion of the FIFA money.

Just in FIFA WORLD CUP FALCONS CRISES Nff is owing waldrum. We have paid part of it . We are making effort to pay his balance. His outburst not necessary. His fate Will be decided by the NFF board . Waldrum Contract to end after months FALCONS will only get the 30k dollar each which FIFA promised them from group matches. We are not paying them any match bonus at the world cup Demola Olajire NFF Spokesman |

mostob:Oshoala is the only very fast player there! |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 5:16pm On Jul 09, 2023 |
CoolJulian:Hmm 🧐 You might be Wrong Asisat Oshoala Fransisca Ordega Uchenna Kanu Ajibade, Esther, Monday are quick too but kind of average to me but those 3 above are the quickest among the forwards… |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 6:49pm On Jul 09, 2023 |
Deltamani:Ordega has lost a lot of her pace, she's also ineffective. Uchenna Kanu is not fast, where did you get that? I don't see Esther as a fast player. Ajibade dey try, but compared to those two Zambian players? |
