Tell me this opponent got their goal from a screamer or outside-the-box shot or something if not how did the opponents score a goal? If it was a defensive mistake on our side the we still have a lot to do.

Randy Waldrum seems to have infused in Ifeoma Onumonu back to the Starting 11… I just hope it doesn’t slow the attack down and again from the praises he was hyping on Onumonu about her fitness level I knew something was Suping..

Anyway Ashleigh Plumptre might have lost her starting Spot to Blessing Demehin who everyone currently sees as the replacement for Onome Ebi..

The Ladies still have at least 4 more days to train, few things can still change!

I do not rate them though but they’re the 1st in Queensland NPL Women Table, Played 21 game this season, won 18, Draw 1 and lost only 2.

I think high point for me is they at the very least have a team they can implement some of the things they've learnt in training.

This is what an Australian had to say about the game. Apparently this team has only lost 2 games in the last 82 games. Of course wasn't the best of test we could have gotten, but definitely not the worst.

Yes oh!

Nnadozie
Alozie Ohale Demehin Imuran
Payne Ucheibe Echegini Okoronkwo
Onumonu Oshoala

My assumed formation above
Nnadozie captained, bypassing Oshoala (New Coach, New ways)

She probably captained cause she's the most senior player in that list after Oshoala and Ohale. Already explained here that Ohale refused being captain at AFCON and Ajibade would have been captain had she played. It's also more likely that Oshoala refused captainship too. She's more likely to be returned when the senior players are retired.

Can't really say if it's 4-4-2 though, I'm very sure Randy stick to his regular 4-3-3 with hid double pivotal in midfield.

Nnadozie
Alozie, Ohale, Demehin, Imuran
Payne, Ucheibe, Echegini
Okoronkwo, Oshoala, Onumonu

For the 2nd game against Australia Rasheedat Ajibade, Halimatu Ayinde will be Back then the line up will Change again.

Nothing new there, just the usual rejection of the Captain band by the senior players because of the past events..

If Rash have started she for wear am ahead of Nnadozie. Removing Ohale and Oshoala who are the Oldies there, Nnadozie is the next.

I saw where he singled out Asisat Oshoala, Ashleigh plumptre and Onyi Echegini. He also talked about how the Ladies perform very well and they shouldn't be underrated by our opponents..

Sofie Junge Pedersen cannot participate in the World Cup due to an injury. Sara Thrige will replace her.

One of the benefits of us not playing friendlies cause the number of injuries that have arisen from these friendlies is alarming.

Toni Payne says 🇳🇬Nigeria are on the same level with France and Australia.

“We are on the same level as France and Australia, and we are very confident. With the players we have here, we are ready to fight,” Payne said per NFF TV.

“We are growing an improving our system every day with every training. Step by step, we are getting ready for our first game against Canada.”

I see Randy sticking to Osinachi Ohale and Blessing Demehin at Center Back instead of the usual suspects of Ohale and Plumptre at Center Back.

Demehin is younger, quicker, have a great height too and very Physical... Though defensively there are some Lapses even though everything is not about Physicality....

Against Speedy Attackers you will be needing Quick Defenders too as the modern game evolves around alot of Speed now.

Ohale and Demehin or Ohale and Plumptre which ever one is cool. At least Mama Onome should be there on the Bench!

If seems France won't be replacing Selma Bacha as they're certain to have her back before the end of the World Cup..

They have a more than Capable replacement at Left back too, PSG Sakina Karchaoui but France will have to make do without Selma Bacha for now.

But will Salma recover before the end of the World Cup?

I agree. Especially against a team like Canada you need a faster Demehin. We'll probably see him introduce Ashleigh when he requires a ball playing CB Ashleigh will be introduced. This might me probably against Ireland who aren't necessarily pacy and almost always required crossing into the box to score.

How is Plumptre a usual suspect over Demehin that has been playing since WAFCON finished?

You're talking as if at most cases Demehin Playing wasn't because of the absence of One of the top Defenders that were regular starters...

Friendly game against USA, Plumptre was absent..
Revelation Cup Plumptre was tried in other Positions (LB and DM)..
Last Friendly in Turkey Plumptre had a knock and didn't Play.

This event probably gave room for Demehin to prove herself..

Ebi can’t be scared. This is probably her last outing as a Super Falcon
She’s the captain for a reason
In fact I’m hoping she’s the one

Ebi is positioning herself for life after retirement. The best way to do that is to be allies with her folks in the NFF
