Antony is alright. his first season is actually decent.

Antony: 4 goals and 2 assists in 1819 minutes. 1 goal contribution every 303 minutes.

Sancho: 6 goals and 3 assists in 1699 minutes. 1 goal contribution every 188 minutes.

Garnacho: 3 goals and 2 assists in 563 minutes. 1 goal contribution every 113 minutes.

If you remove dancing, shoving, and spinning ability, Antony's debut season wasn't decent.

Okay he is more defensively solid, presses better, and works harder BUT he was not productive enough, and the huge worry is that there is little evidence even in his previous clubs that he is a productive player. He has to improve greatly to justify both his place in the team and his price tag.

Fabinho is not the player he was a couple of seasons ago. If Liverpool offloads him for the amount I am seeing then that is a very good deal. Henderson is leaving as well if the rumours are to be believed that means they'll likely sign two DMs or sign one and a RB meaning Arnold takes up a midfield role which will make them stronger because Fab and Hendo are past it.

Hopefully, they do not sign a CB if not they'd be strong favourites for the title.

there's a better balance to the team when he's playing on the right compared to team options for last season. I'd have loved to see more of Pellistri but for some reason it didn't happen.
on a personal level, nothing irks me more than a lack of effort.
look at the FA Cup final against Man City, it was a total mess down that flank.
there's some maturity level to attain in his game especially with decision making around the box, but fans make it out like he was dud. he gets into very good positions for a one legged player.
as for the price tag, it's entirely the club's problem. he'll never be worth that money.

why we haven't paid this fee is still a mystery. this is more or less a free signing for such experienced head.
there are values you just don't pass up even when it seems you might not need it yet.

You forget Keita, Chambo, Milner and Firmino have all left and now Hendo and Fab are on their way so, they have freed up enough wages so they can sign a DM, a RB (If TAA is transitioning into a midfielder) and a CB.

It was a poor return for a 100m player. It was a poor return for a 70m player. It was a poor return for a 50m player.

If we have such unproductive attacking players how will we score those goals we keep complaining we are not scoring enough of.

He brings better balance and solidity defensively but that is not enough. He wastes precious time dancing on one spot waving his left foot in the air without actually going past his man, and he keeps cutting in to shoot when there are better options.

He does not give us balance in attack and the season he had was not good at all. Let’s not lie to ourselves or encourage bad habits.

P.S That money would always matter because the more we spend on Player A the less money available to buy Players B, C, D, and we might even miss out on another player.

Another thing is that because of the huge fee an underperforming player might keep getting chances he doesn’t deserve potentially blocking other cheaper alternatives. That is the reason the Pellistri you wanted to see more of didn’t get those chances.

Until we have bottomless pockets transfer fee would always matter, and players have to at least come close to justifying their fee.

How will sell lukaku for 70 million. Still dey surprise me . I really love the transfer.

I don't see how all the new signings would just adjust to klopp style of play which is why I think losing Henderson and Fabinho is going to affect them. They will basically be playing with a new midfield.

Mac Allister should easily slot in. If they sign Lavia that's an9ther player who isn't new to the league so, they'll do just fine. Worse case scenario, TAA will be deployed in midfield.
