Thank you for calling our attention to what's going on in Oshodi-Isolo LGA. If what you said is true,that nonsense will be reversed as "majority of the staffs" in a Yoruba state can't be igbos ! Can these igbos allow such in any of their five states ? Trust me,those Yoruba speaking igbo staff members of Oshodi-Isolo should start preparing for a certain "tsunami" that will sweep them away from the Local Government payroll ! Any igbo that wants to become a Yoruba MUST drop his or her igbo names and other identities completely ! The era of Emeka or Chinedu being on the payroll of our LGAs or State Government's while Segun or Bolanle is roaming the streets is over here in Lagos !

We have a nation, but refuse to use it as such. Different factions inside are fighting each other constantly. Hence the nation cannot stand. When the heat is too much, many enter aeroplane and fly off to go and brag about nothing in developed nations.

Nigeria is a group of nations within a boundary. Tribalism does not exist if you look at it properly. It’s normal for all nations, ethnic or otherwise to defend their interest or boundaries and history. It is this colonialist mindset to want to erase a peoples identity and pretend they are one. It has not even succeeded in the US. Not to talk of Nigeria. The problem in Nigeria is a lack of respect for others, their lands and their history by a particular set of people who know they are at a disadvantage with what their ancestors left them. Plus their culture of greed and covetousness makes them seek for sneaky ways to steal like what Okey is suggesting. They are the most clannish and tribal, which is the funny thing.

And they lack history too. Apart from the fact their "civilization" is very recent (they were still going about naked in the 20th century ffs! It took a Yoruba man (Ajayi Crowther) to civilize them and introduce them to clothing and writing.

If this policy is put in place and the hausa-fulani they so much taunt, suddenly migrate into their bushes en-masse and claim state of residence and begin to lord over them and dictate their politics and culture, some years later....u will see their descendants coming here to fight policies that their ancestors myopically engineered.


It is the same mindset they had when they did the first coup only for the North to use their coup template to hold power for decades under various military regimes.

It was their ancestor that myopically argued against Nigeria being a loose-federation and wanted a strong center, just cos he was gunning for a central role.

It was another of their ancestor that was the first military ruler and suddenly abolished the regional govt and created states while strengthening the center and removing power from the regions, just cos he was the one at the center.

And when people wake up to their schemes and use their own cards to checkmate them, they scream and act the victim.

Sincere, fair people have a balanced view of issues and dont myopically seek advantage that is not sustainable and can backfire.

What elusive unity are you and okey looking for?. It was for this same phantom unity that Ironsi made do away with our federalism which plunged the young nation into a disastrous civil war with the loss of millions ofinnocent lives.

Half a century later, you guys are still clamouring for this "unity". Na only you igbos dey look for unity for Nigeria even as you guys introduced " igbophobia" into the national lexicon.
