We already know the analysis for the defense.

Let's shift to middle

Abiodun and Ucheibe did well defensively. Now that leaves Payne..... Noticed nobody has really analyzed her game vs Canada. I'm not that impressed. But as far as setpieces are a big deal in this team, i dont mind.
i saw one spark from tony payne and that was in the second half

For thes 1st games played so face, the impact of pace is the top determinant in all of them. The realization of this makes me don't want Onumonu to start again. I saw Desire training. High chase she starts. We need that hold up in the centre and more shots from centre. Kanu is a starter too. I know Oshoala is our star girl right now, but imagine Kanu starting and Oshoala coming on when kanu has wearied that RB already. Oh my!!
asisat is not giving her best. I miss rashidat

The NFF apparently requested for 2 Million dollars from the federal government for the FIFA women's World Cup. It was however reviewed downwards to 1.75 Million dollars.

Guess how much was allocated to the girls who are doing the playing on the field?

A "whopping" 69 thousand dollars. $69k to be shared by 23 players amount to $3k each out of $1.75M.

Guess who the bulk of the money went to?

NFF officials and the sports ministry.

It's why I don't take serious people on this platform who continuously hold brief for the NFF.

This is wickedness of the highest order.

Your inability to comprehend that minute detail in front of you is kinda laughable. I will suggest you sit aside and observe the analyses here henceforth.

Ooohhh...looks like no one is home, exactly like I suspected.

codemaniacs:

The only defensive bedrock of the team was Blessing Demehin, Abiodun and Nnadozie.

Ucheibe was playing like an amateur and also shooting long range shots far away from the box instead of passing to the nearest player thereby giving Canada the ball back and bringing un-necessary pressure on the team.

If Abiodun and onyiniZidane were in midfield then Canada won't have seen ball to play.

SF needs players that know how to pass the ball among themselves and won't be shooting from midfield.

Did you watch the match at all? Or did you watch from a carton? If Demehin and Abiodun were the bedrock of Falcon's defense, the Nigerian team would have been on the plane to Nigeria because the number of goals the Falcons would have conceded should not allow them to scale to the next round. Demehin and Abiodun had no business in Falcons team presently.

This Swedish team used to be very good, now they look like a shadow of their former selves, what happened to them?!!. I noticed that a lot of their players from 4-6 years ago are no longer here and probably retired.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ThePresenceWtf: 7:03am On Jul 23, 2023
Fun Fact: Nigeria is the tallest African Team in the competition....In fact they're among one of the tallest teams.

For reference, Sweden one of the tallest teams, have 12 players who are 5'8 and above, Nigeria also have 12 players who are 5'8 and above.

I think this would be one of, if not Nigeria's tallest team ever.

U have to give SA their credit but Sweden no longer have one of the best leagues in Europe

Fun fact: Nnadozie needs one more WC clean sheet to become level with Enyeama and Peter Rufai, who both have 3 WC cleansheets each

Yeah, Credit to SA too, but they haven't really done anything in this game, they're just sleepwalking their way through, because Sweden has been that bad.

Other than Johanna Reytting-Kaneryd, nobody in the Swedish team has done anything. They just wanna take corner-kicks and hopefully score off a set-piece. Smh.

South Africa have been nice and compact and they are hitting Sweden on the counter attack. Sweden just can't get it together. Their final ball has been poor all day but credit to SA they have defended well

Yeah their League is now no.5 in Europe unlike before where everybody wanted to play in Sweden Women’s League, very bad they couldn’t maintain the standard

No ooo Rolfo scored that one. Ramalepe missed the ball and Rolfo connected. Even if it took a touch off Ramalepe it was going on target

Her, along with Stina, Asllani, Filippa and Jonna, they've all been horrible.

Most of the top teams now are attached to big clubs. Swedish clubs can't compete with that

Yeah, it looked like it could be 50-50, but I agree it was definitely on target regardless and Ramelepe didn't change the trajectory of the ball..

Good they gave it to Rolfö, because if I were a DF, I wouldn't want OG next to my name...Lol

Once Hurtig comes in they will result to Up balls now, and look for those Corner kicks. Hurtig is dangerous in the air!

The Coach is Playing a 3-4-3 with Asllani and Rolfö both playing as the double 10's behind Stina. That's not her game, she's an out and out Wide player looking to beat her marker with pace and whip in a cross first time or arrive late at the back post to score.

She doesn't have the agility, creativity and spatial awareness to play behind a striker.
