I'd say good boy privileges.
At first, nobody notice me at all.
But after some time, they start to notice the good boy.
But it only works on older people and not many privileges.

Food for thought - The men who enjoy privileges a lot are Good, Handsome, Smart and Rich men. But they are scarce in 9ja.

By all standards, I am pretty and I have had my privileges. I tend to have my way with almost everybody.

At the Sunday School when I was little, the teacher was sharing Xmas greeting cards according to how we were sitting. There was a girl sitting beside me and it was her turn to get a card, and it was the most beautiful card of them all. The teacher skipped her, gave me the beautiful card and gave her another one. This incidence was the first time l realised how I looked.

My boss where I served couldn't act bossy with me as he did with every other staff and corp member. He has been mesmerized. He later confessed. The same goes for my zonal inspector. Other girls would jump over themselves if he at least looked their way. He begged to date me for the entire year and I used him.

My lecturer in school has a reputation - He's Mr. No Nonsense. My friend and I turned in our assignments late. Normally, he wouldn't collect it. We tried our luck. He accepted mine and turned my friend back. I pleaded for her but he said only me deserved that privilege.

When I showed up at the immigration office to process my passport. The officer wouldn't let people in, in my presence, he was turning people back, he just looked at me and I made sure we had eye contact, he not only asked me to go in, he led me to the capturing office and gave me a seat.

Many privileges really. In school when we want to do things or see a lecturer or some important people, my friends would push me to the front.

It is real and it works for me.

"Pretty Privilege" It depends on the beholder and the definition.

Smart/Intelligent/Courageous/Handsome/Beautiful or the most dangerous: Indeterminate sex features: Beautiful Gentleman or Handsome Lady

What you might derive/attract are kinda VARIED Depending again on the BEHOLDERS & from what PERSPECTIVE.

One that stands out is: TOUGH LOVE!

Humans are a creature of beauty. No doubt, if you are visually appealing, you will get some privileges you actually don't deserve just because of your physical appearance.

I first noticed this when I went to secondary school. Most seniors would want a pretty boy as their school son.

Also, people tend to be nicer to you when you are handsome/beautiful. Now the question comes to how to harness this physical attribute to your advantage:

1) Learn to smile and be nice to people. They will love you more. Some people even think it's a privilege when a handsome/beautiful person is exceptionally fond of them.

2) Never act as if you're in a haste for anything. It boost your confidence and paves the way for you.

3) Dress nicely. Don't over spend to look good but always look neat and wear clothes that fit and not clothes that are trending.

4) Highlight those little attributes that makes you good looking. For instance, try to brighten your teeth, exfoliate your lips, make sure your nails are neat ( both hands and feet), make sure your hair is neat, carve your eyebrows (both male and female)

5) Smell nice. Your body deodorant is way more important than your perfume.

6) Always walk alone so that you are approachable

7) Don't engage is habits that people consider dirty like smoking in public. You can do it when you are alone at home.

cool Make yourself scarce. Don't always show your face around. Let people miss you a bit.

9) Avoid dull coloured clothes. If you are very fair, buy clothes that enhance your colour. Very bright clothes will make you more outstanding. Darker shades will make you more mature.

10) Avoid loud people. They draw the wrong attention towards you.

My own really helped my mother's business a lot. While still an undergraduate, we moved to a new neighborhood, my mom started a frozen food business. Sales were average when she started but when I started coming around to help out, the female patronage increased significantly. Most young ladies and women would ignore other sellers and come straight to my mom's. Many would try to start up conversations to stay a little while.
My mom teased me about it one day, and I told her to start paying me as her 'Sales Rep'. cheesy
During my Youth Service, my boss' wife was so fond of me, her beautiful daughter as well but she warned me not to go near her daughter. Every month end, she'd send her daughter to bring me food stuff.
I have had many encounters(sexual) I can't share her but I wish most females notice my craft and patronize me for my works not my looks.

Once a boy begins to feel that he is handsome, he is completely finished and will most likely end up at the bottom of financial ladder in life unless luck, God and destiny remembers him.

This is one thing that scares me about my son and reason I always rebuff my wife or any other person that calls him "fine boy", I always warn them to desist from calling him such nonsense name, and I will then turn to him and tell him that you are not a fine boy, you are a smart kid and you shall be smart and great, amen.

I thank God for the kind of upbringing I had cos while growing up, I had this girlie, innocent rich-kid appearance plus some brilliancy that made all girls from my classmates to Sunday school to JAMB class, to wherever I went for holiday and even higher institution to always like me to the extent they wanted to spoil my innocent, village boy self. I thank God I escaped those Jezebels then, if not my life would have probably ended up like one of the most handsome boys in my secondary school who became so lazy and spoilt to the extent he ended up as one cult executioner the moment he entered higher institution and today he is nowhere to be found, probably dead or languishing in one prison somewhere.

To all young men reading this, please you don't need any handsomeness to achieve a great life, leave physical beauty for the females and focus on self development, but just try and keep good hygiene and dress well. Focus on your academics, skill, business, trade and aim to be "excellent" in whatever you do and the world will be yours at the end.

Your comment is the best on the thread!!!

Lol... Calm down Sir...

Beautiful people are very common these days.... No one is killing you when even the male filling station attendant in their neighborhood is very fine . It kinda appears these days that 90s born and above kids are on the average, good looking.

The more the years go by, the more human genes appear to be smoothening out, on the average.

Both Boys and girls that are extremely pretty has experienced the pretty privileges before and no doubt benefit a lot from it in most cases very unexpected ways. I’ve a had a few pretty boy privileges. But certain people choose to think they aren’t real lol or don’t work , they are very real I tell you.
So I have experienced a few pretty boy privileges and one of them was when I went to a buka (restaurant) to eat and the girl that served me my plate ,served my food with extra meats , it happened like 4 different times before I knew that the pretty privilege was really at work. Cause anytime I went there to eat , no matter how plenty customers were , she would make sure she served me first lol. Later got her number the 5th time I went there to eat ,shawtie was blushing lol. We started talking and I started getting free food , shawtie would even package takeaway for me most times after I finished eating there. Lol I was treated like a king there ,even her momsy treated me special too. I just knew pretty boy privilege was at work. Omo me I just played along as long as say free food Dey inside the matter, kilo kan mi.
Other experiences I’ve had was one time ,I went out to shop rite and I saw different girls staring at me (mostly average looking girls but still hot sha )not to brag lol but I felt embarrassed and went to the bathroom to check myself in the mirror cause I felt my clothes or something was making them stare at me lol. But nothing was wrong with my clothes ,I was looking good ,that was it ,pretty boy P. Got a girl’s number that day cause she approached me with some mind blowing pick up line. She came over the next following week and we had some insane kinda sex.

The pretty privilege exists very well , but don’t be overly dependent on it cause it could backfire sometimes too lol , so just work hard ,make money ,take extra good care of your appearance , I feel like the best investment is to invest in oneself , and looks should also be a priority cause it definitely pays yo!

So y’all should pls share your pretty privileges.

Pretty girl privilege is a God given talent just like any other talent out there. Disadvantages: you get a lot of hate from the ladies for literally no reason. Once you don't reciprocate same energy from the guys, it's on; you have a bad character grin

Thank God I’m not one of those with the pretty girl privileges then. 🙏🥱

More like the Okonjo-Iweala kinda thingy, is the dream… 🤲😩

Probably explains why a lot of good looking men settle for very average or “just there” looking women. 🤔

I like the last sentence, sounds funny…

I like pretty girls though. But beauty is relative. I'm fairskinned and hairy, and I'd pass as better-looking than many women (No, I'm not bragging as my post history in the sport section confirms this smiley ). Not because they are ugly but beauty is a relative term.

Niyola isn't ugly (maybe even beautiful) but Banky W is better-looking than her. See the relativity?

I grew up with beauty. Siblings and relatives. So beauty is never number one on my priority list with a woman.

A good-natured ambitious average-looking lady would get my attention quicker than a drop-dead gorgeous ill-mannered girl. But if that beauty matches with the characteristics I like, perfect.
