There is a local govt in Ogun state whose communities have never seen electricity for the past 100years. It is called Yewa local govt.

The community is about 50 in numbers and that should concern u more than anything else.

I show u evidence and u can fact check if in doubt.

Yorubas are too slow and dull in accepting positive changes. Imagine a local government that is only few kilometers from Lagos being so backward. Some places in SW appear even more remote and underdeveloped than places in NE.

Missionaries came to their place before other parts of Nigeria. Awolowo also gave them free education yet Igbos overtook them in one fantastic burst of energy!

If Lagos was close to Igboland the way it is close to Yorubaland, I bet you, no ethnicity in Africa would have come close.

Go to places like Ukwa east and west and see vehicles moving in gutter, pot holes that could fall tankers.

I will say it again, the only place with good road is Osisioma.
Then Ummuna bende has few roads that is not too bad but still can't be considered good

You served in Abia right?

Umuahia too has some good roads apart from that, Ogbomosho's roads are far better than Abia state roads.

Brown roof! Brown roof!

My house have brown roof and that house has been over 20years now opposite a major road. If my Dad pass away(May he live long), I'm very sure we're not selling that house not even in 10years but that doesn't happen in igboland.

Do igbo's have family house, the family house this person is talking about is a nuclear family house. Our major family house(Extended family) is in the center of the city. I'm very sure, nobody will ever sell that one because it span from generation to generation. Who will repair it either?

Do igbo's have that kind of house?

There is a functioning port in Onne. Stop complaining and move your cargo there. If you are tired of Lagos, leave!
it's not fully functional and the tarrif is about 5 times that of lagos and tincan, why?

Ogun state indigenous are not crying for port..If truly you need a port, hold your governors accountable. At least, Edo state government is working towards making it's port functioning and they are serious about it.If your 5 states governors can't give you a functioning port, it means you don't need it.
So let FG put seaport in other region like they put in southwest. That's simple

Who gave Lagos port before this year? Federal government.

Does Ogun state where you coem from have a port? No
Nobody gave Lagos state any port. The port in lagos state belongs to the federal government except the lekki port which the state built on its own in conjunction with foreign investors.

I see you cannot understand how the port in lagos drives investment to Lagos. You need to learn basic business studies.

Put ports in other state, Lagos will become scanty and other states will raise revenue to build their own ports

There had been a port in lagos before 1970. What 1970 are you saying? The lagos port is a natural harbour. The Portuguese used it, the British used it, Nigeria is using it. The development of Lagos as a leading West Africa port city was due to factors that has nothing to do with federal government. It's geography, global dynamics, the diaspora returnees of the 19th century and the business acumen of the people. By 1880 Lagos was known as the Liverpool of West Africa.

Maybe you should sue God for giving Lagos a natural harbour and not iboland.

Onne is not a private port.

What proof? Don't you do business?
Must I feed you everything?
Onne port charges too high compare to Tincan and Apapa because price is deliberately not regulated by government there in orfer to drive customers to Lagos.

You people don't know anything put you type a lot

A fool that is what you are.

You said the tarrif is higher than that of Lagos and I am putting it to you that you are a daft liar.

Done business in Onne and Apapa using Maerskline and no difference at all. The only difference is logistics and that is not the responsibility of the port.

So Lagos port are private ports? Or what rubbish are you spewing. All you these cords sellers

You don't have! Once your parents die you share property. I served in Abia, ugwunagbo to be precise.

Everywhere is commercialized. Most of the places you will snap in Ibadan or other southwest city are family houses and not new houses.

People go deeper inside to build new houses. Where is that deep place you people will move too in SE?

Enugu that is close to you may not have a good enough soil and land yet their roads is far better compared to Abia.

We came to Lagos to do business, it does not mean that we go back to trees when we say we are going to the village.

If majority of Ndi igbo actually wants Biafra Nation as they always claims. They'll not come out on that election day to cast 99% of their vote for this man. They'll not put mouth inside the election in Lagos State. They'll not hold a space meeting saying they'll unseat Yoruba Kings once their brother Chinedu enter. They'll not be planning Lagos State governorship election in the South East. If Biafra is what they want they'll not be in court fighting a mandate they lost.

You import from Onne to Aba?

What are you talking about? Do you mean you move imported goods from Onne port to Aba? What does high charges on logistics has to do with the port tariff?

I use Onne very well but stopped due to reason that Onne is more stricter that Lagos. Onne too like to follow due process (that is good anyway).

The tariff in Onne is even cheaper but people prefer Lagos because of contrabands and many more.

Therefore, the excuse of saying port not around SE and that is why people are not moving there is all bullshit and should be stopped.

If you people prefer your villages, go there and let Lagos be

When u have large population of lazy and ignorant people in Lagos willing to pay good for your skills, goods and services....then the sacrifice is worth it... But would always come home when it's time to holiday

That is why it is called "city". The unskilled work you do are many in your villages. In city, unskilled villagers are needed to do such menial jobs.

They are not lazy but are just people who have outgrown such unskilled labour. They need people like you to do such task
