Please I need some guidance, advice and feedback...

I have two offers which I am divided on which to choose

I am through with my MSc in Data Science here and already on tier 2 courtesy of my wife who got a sponsored support work

The first offer is a prison officer with a starting salary of 28k.

The second offer is a Department of Education Financed training to be a physic teacher with a bursary of 28k for 10 month, I will be paid 19k while 9k will go to the Secondary school providing the training which is affiliated to a university. At the end I will be given QTS ( qualifications to teach) and a PGCE. Now at the end of the training, I am required to look for a teaching job.

Please I need a guidance on which to go, given the peculiarity of this country.

September is start date for both.

Do not mind any grammatical error.
Note I can't do both given the way the training is structured

I'm yet to understand why favorite players are reserved to take last penalties. Any reasons in particular?

I mean what if they don't get the opportunity just like we have seen in many occasions.

Oshoala should have taken the first penalty.

with an MSc in data science, why don't you consider a career in Data Analysis, and look for Graduate roles in big firms like the Big 4 or Engineering firms, that will launch you into big-time jobs in the future. The two offers you have right now are not related to that. If you have a passion for teaching though I will suggest you go for the secondary school job. But I just think you deserve much more than what you currently have. Go for the teaching job but please start aiming higher for a career in Data Analysis or Data Engineering

make we forget the match jor, Technical ability remains the bane of African soccer. They had all the time to finish off the English girls especially when they had the one-woman advantage.

I think it's your choice. Which of the careers do you prefer?

Good I have some couple of data science/analysis interviews that was not successful so I applied to these and they were successful. Now I am thinking both short term and long term. But I have to work.

In addition, I would like to know how to scale through civil service interview executive office (eo role ). Already have 3 interviews and I would like to figure out what could be wrong in my approach.

Hi Schoolhike,

I just sent you a DM. I have an interview in two weeks for a civil service AO role. I will really appreciate some insights on what to expect and tips to prepare and perform well. Thanks

It is not easy, if it was in Nigeria now I would known what to expect. The feedbacks I see online has the citizens talking trash for both careers. But they are citizens and they have the luxuries

Though I prefer brain induced activity than physical brawl

There you go! That's your answer.

Both careers have their pros and cons so personal preference will be key. If we advise you to be a prison officer and you hate "physical brawl", you'd have a terrible time there regardless of any pros we highlight.

I am scheduled to go as well in 2 weeks with my family so been monitoring it. So far it appears to have calmed down

The UK government’s advice to holidaymakers as of 10 July advises, "While the situation is now calm, you should monitor the media, check the latest advice with operators when travelling and follow the advice of the authorities."

https://www.euronews.com/travel/2023/07/13/is-it-safe-to-travel-to-france-right-now-country-recovers-from-sixth-night-of-riots

Did you apply for a visa in France?
I just realised I needed one over the weekend

Ashley Plumtree too is claiming Nigerian heritage.........

Make we dey claim dey go....... 😂

Don’t know what you mean by she’s claiming Nigerian. Her dad is Nigerian and her grand father is Nigerian, last time I checked Citizenship by Descent is still a legitimate form of citizenship.

No difference between her and any other Nigerian child born outside Nigeria. Or do you think she’s less deserving of Nigerian citizenship because she’s light skinned and has straight hair?

Brethren
In order to kill procrastination, I decided to select and book a date (17th of August) for my theory test...
Presently i do score 46/50 with the 4 in 1 app
So far 47 max however I do score 4/5 on the average on hazard perception but sometimes would score zero on the same hazard perception

Is there sth I have not understood or getting wrong
I get shocked and confused whenever this happens... I only use the 4 in 1 app (self study)

Elders and those who passed with the app
Abeg advise or recommend practice style/materials
Thank you

You still haven’t answered my question though? Being a parent to a mixed race child who proudly holds a Nigerian passport, I find your comment about Ashleigh ‘s heritage quite distasteful jokes aside.

That’s quite enough time to prepare given your progress, and you have all the materials you need. But stop playing games with the hazard perception, try to understand how points are calculated. I’ll advise you start with the training videos again.

At the risk of chooking my mouth in matter wey no concern me…Are you sure you aren’t reading too much into his banter?

I doubt it was intended to be disparaging to her or any person of mixed heritage. If anything it was self-deprecating humor to say he wished he could claim American citizenship.

Nothing.......

But conduct a car vertical check, to check pictures of damages sustained ......

If you intend to sell vehicle later, expect low balling + difficulty in reselling (same apprehension you are having now, is what future buyers too, would display)......

But if you're prepared to use the vehicle, till the engine drops...... You would get a considerable discount........

NB: Point to note - : If you're involved in an accident, your insurance company would NEVER write a vehicle off twice...... 🤣😂

Cat N - Non structural damage.......
Thank you, I go run history check.

Banter or not I find it offensive comparing her citizenship to Beyoncé’s claim to Nigerian ancestry.

Hmm, data engineering the junior salary for that position lasan and also database administrators (couldn’t believe that it’s still very much relevant due to companies going cloud computing way).

Infact a department in civil service added an uplift of 10,000£ to the base salary.
