Na alozie penalty vex me pass, her composure her movement, style prior to her kicking d ball ⚽️, I knew she would play rubbish

We defeated ourselves…no cap 🧢, my World Cup ends here ..ciao 😎

After the first game against Canada, Alozie had gone to tweet saying two more games to go. That was her mindset. She didn't picture the cup. She could have said six more games to go. That tells u the mindset. She is quite ok with her performance.

One positive thing about the super falcons is what the future holds. Nicole Payne, Evelyn Ijeh, Rinsola, Ajakaye, Sabestine n co. It’s exciting! 😃.
Hopefully NFF doesn’t employ a coach that thinks like most of our fans on Twitter

This demon came back to haunt us. We've been getting away with chaotic football since the beginning of the tournament.

The falcons should go and bring up their ball-playing to the level of at least SA.

you're right.

I was thinking the NFF should get SA's coach and her entire coaching staff if she resigns from SA...

or they should start training on ball possession and players distance from each other..

Ok. Go to the next World Cup without better style of play and preparation and win based on hope and mindset.

Maybe its goals that win matches or mindset, we’ll see.

And as for the bolded, I’m also pissed we lost but I’ll cheer them on. Those celebrating also have a reason to cus this is probably our best performance in WC results wise so instead of claiming high ground thinking you’re some European team, touch grass and see things for what it is!

Well, if you're contented with that, Good for you.

That's wasn't my point...While this is kind of valid, it's the unnecessary and incessant use of rationalization to try explain away the ineptness in our country that I'm alluding to. It's like we are never expected to be anything more than "We tried" "Okay" etc.

And I’m telling you it’s kind of a cultural thing. If we’re going to move past this level, we need to work till we get there! Don’t be surprised, it’s reality.

Let’s just start looking for a way forward. Complaints or castigations won’t solve the problems

You don’t know football my friend
If we bring in another coach we’d be starting from scratch
No one expected us to get out of the group of death before the start of the tournament
Penalties are 50 / 50, can go anyway

Okay Mr. Know-Football. A coach brought a bunch of players who could not trap the ball, pass the ball, control the ball and think the ball had teeth to the World Cup yet you claimed to have known football. I guess you must be a Nigerian.

Funny how we didn't end up missing Ngozi Okobi in the world cup. But how I wished we had a player like Deborah Abiodun in the extra time of this game things might have been different. Because she can go forward and create as well as mark, I guess that was why we had ordega.

Randy out

The worst decision the NFF will be making. All of a sudden we have a team playing the European Champion toe-to-toe and we are screaming Randy out. So we could bring in our local coaches who don't have this high and fine level of technical refinement.

I never expected the Falcon's outing to end any better than it did. This current Falcon team is very bad. NFF and coaches are worse than players.

Super proud of the SUPER FALCONS.

They are truly exceptional Ladies.

They gave everything.

Losing on penalties is always gut wrenching but that's the nature of the beast.

As far as I'm concerned they didn't lose a single match.

I hope their male counterparts the SE can see an example of how to play to your maximum at a major tournament.

NFF I know it's always rocket science with you guys but don't mess up this potential golden generation of players you have at your disposal.

When you never expect yourself to accomplish anything, nothing will ever be accomplished. The bar and metrics of success and expectations is just too fucking low in this country... Like we never expect anything from ourselves and our country. Whenever we see a slimmer of success or progress, it feels like Jesus just came down from heaven or automatically Nigerian.

This game was literally there to be won and it's possibly the best the super falcons have ever had since participating in any FWWC...But we gotta make excuses and think we've achieved beyond what we can achieve. Smh.

With this mindset, we can never become whatever it is we are to become.
We hold some of the worst records for a team in the world cup, most goals conceded, least number of goals etc. How u want to define progress again now that we are out. We kept another clean sheet in today's game.
Sometimes how do you people talk and reason? What bar of expectation? Progress is born out of consistency. 9 world cups for us and this is our best. In 1999 it was quarter-finals because we didn't have a round of 16 then. But in terms of performance this is our best performance in the word cup, yes now that we are out It is our best performance. We left undefeated in 90 mins of all games.

England players Alex Greenwood, Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton made sure to console Nigeria Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie before celebrating England's penalty shootout victory 👏❤️

Players like Onyinizidane would have been very good in this world cup.

Oparanozie, Ordega and Ebi should never be invited again..

I felt the saddest for her and plumptre. The england ladies knew they were lucky after being second best almost throughout that's why they went to her. All her efforts put to a waste. Hopefully she gets a better club this simmer.

We are out of the World Cup, but I couldn't be more proud of the girls.

They have made themselves and the nation proud.

Even when many didn't believe in them, they stepped up to the occasion

Sad that we are out, but very proud

Lol, Gift Monday is even better than Oyenezide for now. Let players follow their normal course, if she proves herself, she’ll join the team.
