Who won today's player of the match award.

Would they have scored the penalty?

What Super Falcons needs is learning how to pass the ball effectively and effortlessly and play ultra possession football. they also need another goal scoring forward apart from Asisat and better FullBacks and midfielders so that the wingers or a midfielder can be in box when the fullbacks have the ball and play as wide forwards.

not having players in the box and outside the box made us lose chances.

Let us get the penalty first.

I agree with you on this call. That was a barge!!! PK was called for England for much less before VAR overturned it, at least the same should have applied to us, the PK should have been called and then reviewed by VAR at the very least.

That women is a wicked witch. She had the best view in the house and ignored a clear call.

Another thing I noticed is that our recent friendlies against this top teams have really helped us in closing the wide gaps between us, we just need to keep building for the olympics and next worldcup, who knows we may be the next tittle contender and dominate the world as we did in Africa. The prospect is there in the team if you ask me.

We're playing against Whyte supremacists..

Super Falcons should not be looking for penalty or favorable decisions from the referee.

They should upgrade their chance creation tactics and score normal goals.

Despite En:gland getting a red card and playing with 10 players that was when Super Falcons started playing as if Super Falcons had 9 players on the field.

With the right tactics and right substitutes Super Falcons would have won that match easily.

BTW, Deborah Abiodun will be available for the next competitive match, as her suspension ended after today’s match.

We have ourselves to blame...Had several chances upon chances to go through to the next stage, but somehow contrived that we are only good enough for a R16.

Gifted another golden opportunity when England went down to 10, but spamming useless fruitless crosses and long balls was more important. Smh.

Lol. E be like when Nigeria played the weakest Argentina ever in the group stage of the men's world cup. Still, they decided that they can never beat Argentina. Even draw to qualify, they couldn't.

We love our average and mediocre livings grin grin grin

That was definitely a penalty in the first half of extra time. I just put it on my website, it was clear as day. Once again we were robbed by FIFA.

When I pointed this out, someone said it was a coming together or some such....😂😂

You don't come together with full force, your arms outstretched towards an opponent while clattering into the back of said opponent.

Bronze literally impeded Alozie's ability to jump and make a play for the ball...the referee ignored it and even ignored calling play despite it being evident that Alozie had suffered a mild neck/head injury 🤦‍♂️

since 2019, its obvious we have an attacking problem. But that alone is totally reliant on lack of creativity behind the strikers. Better days ahead cos people dey ground for that one.

Oparonozie really bleeped up.She cost the super falcons this match. She needs to retire as soon as they come back.

England is not Netherlands mate. If SA plays England, their total possession wouldn't pass 30.

There's a reason we had 20 shots in total. Count in the two bar strikes and blocked shots/header in the 18 you'll have a better picture.
Only picture to see is we are not clinical in front of goal when we get the chances. Simple! But that's the next project i hope.

I'm sha happy that we made Sarina wear a really worried look all throughout the touchline. It's left for nff to think about shoulder-shoulder with the best and leave backstage gbasgbos where it should be. But...😂
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 4:53pm On Aug 07, 2023
This may be a slight consolation, but Nnadozie now has the most cleansheets of any Nigerian goalkeeper at a women’s or men’s World Cup.
She has four career WC cleansheets 👏🏾

Sad we had to go out the way we did, however, it was a delight to watch how disciplined the super falcons has become, in my opinion, if the NFF will retain Waldrum, they should retain every member of the team, incudling the man, that that NFF sent in to deputize Waldrum after they did not allow that woman to follow him to the world cup. @Deltamani..do you know the name of that man, he seems to be working some magic behind the scene to.

Well said.

I understand people's frustration. A loss can be very painful especially when you played your best game.

But we have to count our blessings:

1. This is our best World cup performance so far

2. We played 4 games and did lose any in regular time. For context, we played World no 3 who are European Champions, World number 7 who are Olympic Champions, World Number 10 who are host nation and World no 20 and didn't lose any

3. We have the worst defensive record at the world cup. This time however, we conceded just 2 goals in 4 games. Read that again, we conceded just 2 goals in 4 games.

4. More importantly, we have a team to build on. About half of the team is 25 and less. We only need a few additions and subtractions and we'll have a better team

5. I can't believe I'm saying this.but I have to

"NFF, Renew Randy's Contract".

Give him the support needed and watch this team fly.

Randy Waldrum to stay is okay by me….. I support that but the Following players must gooooo, like once the team Land for Nigeria mk them find their way.!

1. Tochukwu Oluehi 36yrs
2. Yewande Balogun 33yrs
3. Onome Ebi 40yrs
4. Ngozi Okobi 28yrs
5. Desire Oparanozie 29yrs
6. Fransisca Ordega 29yrs

We need the Younger Bloods and inform players like
1. Nicole Payne
2. Rinsola Babajide
3. Evelyn Ijeh and the rest that deserves a spot in the team, Macleans Chinonyerem, Anam IMO can fight for a spot too coupled with the U20 stars that we have seen..

From what I’ve gathered about him, he is primarily an assistant coach with the Super Eagles. The NFF only seconded him to the Super Falcons following Lauren Gregg’s departure

Paris FC better be ready to cash out. She's one of the best in the world. I dunno if England can be a destination or Spain. But she must japa. She's 22 and needs UWCL time now. All the best to her. England and Sarina knew they were lucky. We need such luck next time.

Chiamaka Nnadozie Played Champions League games last season and will still play this new season, She recently signed a new contract before the World Cup, which I know too well that the Club did that just incase anything wan sup their Cashing out go high..

Paris FC 3rd in France isn’t bad, I’m expecting a move to PSG though..

Going forward, we need to leave the American Continent and focus on friendlies with the Europeans. By 2026, the gap will be so so unnoticeable. Let's also try the style of the Japanese. There's enough time to start that with the young Crop of players with a great coach.
