Oh yes, I've been having a blast. Chicago has been amazing. Besides eating and seeing gorgeous skyscrapers, I got to see Obama's and Mohammed Ali's old houses, saw the prestigious University of Chicago's campus, went on a boat cruise, etc. I will be back here again soon and will be visiting other states as well. This was just my first time coming here, despite having a sibling who's both American (born in Texas) and Canadian. I don't have any good reason for not coming here before now, other than me loving my own country too much. While I've enjoyed these cities I've visited so far, I can never see myself moving to the U.S (living here permanently), although I could. Maybe because it's difficult to feel like you belong or something, but this feeling might change as I visit more states lateron. For now, I would rather take trips down here than move here permanently.

Oh yes, London is on my to-visit list as well. I've another sibling who moved to England a few years ago from for work and loves it there. Winter in London is probably incomparable to winter in Canada in terms of the snow and cold, but it's my favorite season, followed by autumn, so I can't complain. Yup, shorter days are a common characteristic of countries with winter; by 4:45/5pm in early November, it'll look like 11pm.

American cuisine is no different from Canadian's, as we eat similar foods. I would say there're foods distinct to Canadians that Americans probably don't eat/eat much of (e.g. Poutine) but you can find many foods in America in Canada, and vice versa. The only thing really separating the two countries are the borders but the foods we eat and many grocery stores (e.g. Whole Foods, Costco, Walmart, etc), are the same, but of course there will be some grocery stores distinct to each countries. There're no Fortinos, Sobeys, Longo's and other major, high-end, grocery stores we've in Canada down here, and I'm sure there're some major, high-end grocery stores here that we don't have in Canada as well, but you will see similar foods being sold in them all, albeit by different companies and all.

Love Casseroles; you can also make them with rice. I prefer the version with the rice!

The flags everywhere are kinda intimidating. I shopped at the outlet mall (an awesome place to shop, by the way) in Birch Run Michigan some days ago and saw many flags there. You sha must not forget you're in the U.S. The patriotism down here is definitely high but patriotism is supposed to be good thing, though.👍

I'm glad you're having a blast in Chicago. I don't see any reason why you should move to the USA as you're in Canada. Personally, i think Canada is alright. Universal health care, lower crime rates, more diversity, and better environmental policies than the US. I was speaking to someone in Canada sometime ago and they told me how nippy it is now in Canada. Yeah, this farmers market too in Vancouver or so, I can't remember the name.

If by any chance you are in London again, you can visit the Big Ben, Buckingham palace, maybe the museum. You can also enjoy some fish and chips, afternoon tea, or a pint at a pub. Some things that might seem odd to you are that the English drive on the left side of the road, use different words for some common things (like trousers for pants, lift for elevator, or crisps for chips), and queue up for everything. Haha!

I think the winter in London is much milder than winter in Canada. However, London can be more rainy and foggy than Canada.
The casserole with rice,you sure have a taste for good chow, yummy.
