Sometimes I think prayer is a scam introduced by colonial masters to make Africans lazy and over dependent. I will only take resonable prayer to be vision and intense desire in itself to achieve something, not a communication of words and rituals.

this was in the Old Testament under the law. now you have Grace maybe our friend here is expecting that the moment he prays things should turn around. God must judge the motive for your prayers if it don't align with his will for your life and his kingdom, you might as well just be wasting your time. Remember Elijah had to pray for Seven times for the rain to come after he declared a famine on Israel.

What you just said makes absolutely no sense at all. God is the only Standard of righteousness that applies as far as His Law/Will/Covenant is concerned. He alone can approve a man righteous ....after the man has first attained holiness. So how can His approval not be according to His own Will and Law?

1. God's mercy does not depend or come in response to the prayers of any man and so it is fallacious to claim God's mercy is in response to prayer.

2. For the umpteenth time, it is only God who can approve a man righteous after the man has first attained holiness. And those who are accorded kk by God are informed of it.

3. Absolutely! God told you this in Genesis 26 vs 1-6. It was by righteousness that God chose David as King. Recall God told you this when He said David was a man after His own heart aka a righteous man. As for David's descendants, recall that Solomon started out as king as righteous man but lost his way towards the end and hence God's promise as well.

4. It appears you have been reading your Bible upside down my friend. All of the Prophets of old, including David, Abraham, Isaac, Abel, Noah, along with Zechariah and His wife Elizabeth, Mary, Joseph, Joseph of Arimathea, Anna, Job.... were all men and women who were approved Righteous by God. This is what is written in scripture. That Jesus Christ came to provide a different path for the redemption of us sinners who failed to pass God's Old Covenant exam, does not change the fact that men where able to even by God's Old Law go on to be approved righteous by God..
