If its not upto 48hrs and ticket hasn't been issued to you, request for refund.

You will be refunded within 24hrs.

It is less than 7 hours and ticket has been issued... Can I still cancel it? And what's the process of getting the transit Visa?

Transit visa is usually a valid visa that is allowed in the country that you are visiting. For instance, if your are transferring in any European country, you will need either schengen , USA, Japan, Canadian and some other countries that have strong visas.

In my case, I called and emailed the airline and issue was resolved same day.

Again on the day you are to travel, they won't allow you board if your passport or any other visas on your passport can't transit you.

You will then request for refund that day, they will refund you within 28 days and take some cut for penalty. In some cases, its less than 200k.

did you buy directly from the airline or an agent? If the airline, request online now and sees what it says......if through an agency, you may have to call them first thing tomorrow to know your options. For the latter, you can also login with your booking number to find out the fare / refund conditions.

Now if you want a transit visa, then you can apply directly from the embassy and can take as much as 14 days (usually less). Check here for Germany: https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/-/2566462

I can see you have a flight for 18th August so your schedule is tight.

I recommend you buy another ticket now if you have the money, cos every day the ticket they go up; cos even if you cancel the other one it may take some days to get a refund less penalty.

Best wishes.

Co-asking pls @duchess90 . Can we (myself and dependent) do walk in and pay 44k each since there's no closer date for biometrics
Globalshaper:
Good day NL,

Please there is no close biometric date so I am considering a walk in.

But I have questions:

1. Apart from paying 44k for walk in, do you also need to pay for assisted service or you can upload before you go?

2. Do I need to pick any date even if it's so far off before I go for walk-in?

Thank you

Hi good people!!!

So me being the main applicant got my visa approved on August 2nd, however, my daughter’s application is still stuck on Received by DMC… and after two paid calls, I’m being told a decision has been made on her case since August 3rd..,{No NSF… No refusal notice}…

I wanted to find out if this is normal and if there’re other folks out in similar situation…

For proper context… we both did our biometrics same day on July 25th Standard processing… the first UKVI Rep I spoke to 3 days ago only told me a decision had already been made without specifying when… then, the second UKVI Rep that I spoke to today told the exact date the decision on her case was made…(August 3rd)… it’d be 15 working days come Monday….

I’d appreciate your thoughts on this my good folks….

Thanks in advance…

Newlymarried:
Please I will need help with this question

I just got married to my fiancée last month ago, though we have been dating since last year august before she applied for her NHS Job in the UK. Towards the beginning of this year, she applied and after several interviews a particular trust sent her a sponsorship. I want to go with her to start a family there and we have submitted all necessary documents and awaiting there response.

What I failed to understand is

Can I be granted a visa because we have not been married for 2 years??

Please I will be needing your swift response

Thanks

The answer provided to you is too vague. You need to be guided make you no go receive nsf..Have you been schooled with DMC documents and how they decide on people's visa application?

Marriage certificate and wedding photos is not enough. You will get NSF.

Thank you Sir for your response.. The flight is actually for 1st September. If I start the process of the transit Visa now, will it be out before then? I already mailed the airline and they asked me to email the Embassy to find out if I will be needing a transit Visa.

Hello

You definitely will need a transit visa no need to waste time asking

Transit visa may take up to 15 working days,(it may be more or less)

The website has been provided, crack on with getting it if you still choose to use the flight

Cheers

Hello

With Turkey, as long as you don't leave the airport then you won't need a transit visa

That is the case of Istanbul - so no you won't

But Antalya will/might need you to leave and re-enter (meaning you might pass through border patrol), in that case you will need one. It may have changed now, it's been years since I went there.

Anyway, Turkish transit visa is an e-visa so all online, no biometric appointment.

I would strongly advise you get one because of your transit via Antalya

Cheers

That usually applies to unmarried partners

If you are married and have sufficient evidence spanning 1year then that should be fine

Your dates are not aligning

When did you finish Uni (your last degree)??

Cheers

@duchess90

I have some questions on study gap & supporting documents, please pardon my inexperience with the visa stuff, I joined the threads late.

Finished NYSC 2021 and did a 1 yr internship until Jan 2023, after which I started the Msc applications

Do I need to submit a reference letter from the office I worked in during NYSC (still had some adhoc engagements with them even until last month)

Lastly, a professional license is only gotten after a typical internship, do I still need to get a reference from the hospital I interned to explain the study gap between 2022 till this year (my school didn't ask for this though)

Or can just the certificates for both (nysc & internship) support my claims

1. First degree 2019
2. Nysc 2020 to 2021 January (public health officer)
3. Post NYSC break (2021-2022)
4. Medical Internship 2022 to 2023 January

Most of my service year was grounded due to covid, so during the post NYSC break and up till date, I remained public health research volunteer in same office.

Hello

NYSC and Medical Internship Certificates will suffice

Besides you have less than 5years study gap.

Still include them in your application anyway

Good morning my people. Pls I need the good people help here . Yesterday, I was given an offer for January intake again at RGU. The message below was also sent to me

"Please provide an official document explaining the difference in your name appearing in your official documents and passport e.g. marriage certificate. "
Should I go do affidavit or should I email them the reason. Because what they asked for is just an alphabet appearing twice on my degree but appears once on my other official documents like old ways of spelling vs new ways of spelling. Thanks in anticipation.

Thank you so much.

You are a beautiful soul.

Another question is should the MA appear in the video conversation?

I want to sit down close to her on that day.

The interview should be for MA, I suggest she notifies them she is the dependent, you're supposed to be there incase you're the one they need to interview.

If they choose to interview you both, one after the other... Fine. You both be prepared

Good morning house.
Please I need advise. I have made my visa application and paid the fee but I haven't submitted my documents and booked an appointment. However I discovered that instead of University of Bolton I filled Bolton University. Please what could be the implications of this error and what can I do to rectify it.
Thanks

Please if MA is applying for visa at a different time from dependant, because he wants to secure his first before attempting that of his dependant. However MA upon getting visa would wait for dependant to also apply and get her visa too so they could both travel together at the same time to UK. (No recycled funds or anything). What is the correct reply to “is your or will your dependant be travelling with you to the UK” in MA application?

Thanks in advance
