Dey sleep. Real estate business in south west before general has left other western states except Lagos for east after the general election. Ask those involved. The real estate is happening in south east, rivers and delta states.
be deceiving yourself there which South East? you want to teach me my profession SE is not a good location for real estate investment. Rivers State is different very okay for real estate.

People say "Yoruba and Hausa DO NOT own property in Igbo land", not "CANNOT". Know the difference.

And those people are right. That a Yoruba man wants to have an estate in Igbo land today does not dilute the fact that Yoruba and Hausa do not want to own property in Igbo land. You are making noise, trying to deny the truth just because of a few or one exception. This one Yoruba man is not enough reason for any honest person to deny the fact that Yoruba and Hausa do not like to own property in Igbo land.

As a matter of fact, this Yoruba man is going to the East because he foresees that Igbo people will soon abandon Lagos. He is going to the place of the promoters of business.

For Igbos, owning real estate everywhere in the world is strictly business, not cultural practice. We don't do it because we like you, we do it to stimulate economic activity and to put money in everyone's pocket.

But if there are people or tribes who won't put their money on other locations based on tribal sentiment, then that's their own headache. Afterall, Igbos still build mansions in their home States and communities.

We welcome Mr. Akintayo, at least he will force some of his people to find some other stupid stories to tell about why they won't buy real estate in Igboland. How many of them have bought anything in Lagos anyways?

Most tribalistic entities on this platform are those who have never travelled out of their brown roof region.

Try leave your state and visit other states for once in your lifetime and see how welcoming and accommodating other citizens of Nigeria can be.

Will you keep quiet. I have traveled to 28 states in Nigeria including the 5 states in Igbo land. I have lived at least 7 months at average in each of those states. Igbos are the most toxic being. Very heartless set of human beings, dubious and wicked. So, stop saying rubbish. I am a Yoruba boy.

What an achievement! cheesy

The thing is, land is overpriced in Igboland.

As late as the 70s, people were offered land free of charge in Lagos. No wonder, Lagos is what it is today.
you have a point, but might not be entirely true,I believe Yorubas and Hausa share similar behavior, the two hardly invest aside their region, the igbos find it beasy to invest anywhere they have lived over a period of time.
