Wondering if it's possible to learn a diagram without drawing it in a book several times?

This is how I do it. Detailed tutorial on how to learn a concept without making notes and how to learn a diagram without having to waste time drawing it on a piece of paper.

This strategy may work for you, or it may not. Who knows

Congratulations on getting to Preclinicals!! cheesy

Based on my experience,
For gross anatomy, I prefer Chaurasia
For Embryology, I prefer Langman
For Histology, I prefer JP gunman
For Physiology, I prefer Jaypee Essentials
For Biochemistry, I prefer Satyanarayana

Incase you need indepth review of each textbook, you can watch here:

Best textbooks for Preclinicals:

For Anatomy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht4__hKkNQM

For Physiology & Biochemistry:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stXQ7lnokvM

In summary, I'll advice you to get the softcopy of the textbooks and flip through and be sure you can understand it, before buying. Also, ask your seniors for the textbooks your lecturers are using.... It's safer to go for that one (esp for mcq/obj sake). wink

U'll never notice that I'm a medical student either from my socials or the way I dress. For now, the vibes of being a medical student is yet to get to me. Maybe as I advance in my studies. But for now, I still don't get the whole jerk.

Although once in a while, I remember I'm a student of rádiography and I smile. Knowing the kind of opportunities that awaits me when I graduate.

Your MSA may have a link that contains lecture materials and textbooks pertaining to your school.CMDA too may have something like that. I'll suggest you find out from the MSA &/or CMDA leaders of your school. They will know better. kiss

PS: if you choose to use unconventional methods to get what you want, Zlib will help. Search for the apk on telegram and download it. It could have the textbook you need. Or, a simple google search may help. I wasn't lucky enough to have materials handed over to me. I searched for them myself.

It's not like I do it willingly. Like I said previously, I'm yet to get the jerk. Right now, we're doing general science so we haven't started anything medical.

So I just feel like any other person studying science.

Do you know what will get me really excited? Playing for Arsenal as a regular starter and Receiving £50k+ weekly grin

Some medics are night readers, some are day readers,,, sleep is too important for them. grin

In this 2-minute video, I talked about my preference based on my situation. wink (IYKYK)

Studying at night or studying in the day, which do I think, yields better results?

Mr. Egghead made an innocent and true statement about his"world class EBSU" not comparable to UI and other first generation University but because he felt out of place, he attacked that statement with false intent and fallacies like a castrated rabid dog.

And the baffling part of it is that some people who also suffer from such incurable ignorance like his, who also felt out of place, liked that decrepit ascertion of his.

Abeg, Medical school pass Medical school ooo.... If you're in one not comparable with the BIG BOYS, please manage it and improve on yourself to be an enviable and respectable Doctor, irrespective of where you are trained ( This applies to all medical student).

I have been on this forum for quite a while on ghostmode, observing such shameful statement overtime. But today I had no course than to correct such.

Going through Nairaland and I saw this.

Who still pay attention on which medical school is the best or not these days?
Who cares about the medical school you attended?

I hope in some years' time you will come back here to still discuss this.

Lol. I don't expect this from you though you are someone I know.
Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Eben331: 11:34am On Aug 26, 2023

There's nothing like BIG BOYS medical schools in Nigeria once a Nigerian medical school is accredited by the MDCN. A medical doctor is a medical doctor. During job advertisement, they only state that they need a medical doctor. They don't state that the medical doctor must graduate from so and so university. Go to Locum Doctors Conference on Facebook and see for yourself.

He's a new entrant into medicine. So, he'll realize later that some of those medical schools he calls low grade isn't low grade.

Any MDCN-accredited medical school is good. It's the MDCN that sets the standard.

The MDCN can withdraw accreditation once it discovers a certain medical school has derailed. It can happen to any medical school in Nigeria. Some so called big schools once lost accreditation and did the needful and then regained it.

It's the residency that makes the difference, although it's not every doctor that wants to do residency. Also, some doctors are talented. That gives them an edge over others.

CGPA is important for Radiography.
All medical courses use grading point system (CGPA) till graduation except Medicine and Dentistry. Even though they are under college of medicine.

So first class or 2.1 matters for Radiography students

I hear people brag about the number of hours they study in a day. It's a valid topic for argument & discussion. In this 2min video, I talked about what I think about this and the number of hours I study in a day.

How many hours should a medic study in a day?? Is it necessary to pay attention to the number of hours?? Let's find out!

It's quite funny how you haven't gotten over this conversation for close to two years now. It's glaring that you're still emotional about it. But honestly, emotion can't erase fact. Guess you had a great Sunday service. Stay blessed.
