Hope you guys are seeing that Tinubu is empty upstairs...

So, Tinubu is tantamount to the economic team that is saddled with the responsibilities of solving Nigeria's economic woes.

Tinubu has not even been presented with the option.

Are you having a comprehension problem?

We told them that Tinubu wasn't the best solution to a complex Nigerian society, the Agberos will call you wailer.
Today the economic damages Tinubu AKA..the Lagos developer is causing are disastrous to all Nigerians, especially people in the SW.

This is a nice policy, especially having an inflation targeting, Ghana did same and it worked for them. Nigeria only had a monetary policy targeting.
But the most important thing is to have an import substitution strategy that will see us stop importing much (especially petrol), so as the naira will stop chasing the dollar.
The lowest performing currency in Africa is Ghanaian Cedis. Do your research before talking any how. Inflation in Ghana is worse than Nigeria. Many traders in Ghana only accept dollars for payment of goods and services. The redenomination in Ghana makes everything worse there.

Really. If Professor Chukuma Soludo is foolish for projecting this idea and I support his foolishness, so be it . It's only a fool that will dream of flying a car to the moon as satellite. Elon musk too is a fool .

Now , back to a Nonetity like you, with your overwise, kindly project a five words economic model that can turn Nigeria around . Am waiting for your wise reply . Mr Wise.

There are tons of professors that have made mistakes in life ..

To based your life existence and wisdom on a title is the climax of foolishness ..

Why do you think curriculum are changed ?

Because old syllabus will fail the test of time if they are not reviewed..

It’s the same reason you press update on our phone to get new upgrade..

Continue living off a man who is failing in Anambra , Just because he Carries the title professor.

Absolutely, there is no way we can survive with out redenomination of naira. Once naira close the maximum threshold of #1000 per a dollar we can remove a zero . Making 100 naira equal to $1. As of 2013 rate.

grin

It doesn't work that way.

What do you mean by "five words economic model"?

I gave the Messr the opportunity to string an economic philosophy in a sentence that is not more than five words and his also at liberty to extend it as an abstract if he has facts at his proposal. Once in a while Crustaceans deserve to be crushed wholeheartedly on this forum.

Only option now. I wlcm it with all my heart.

Imagine someone with 1000 USD in Nashville/ turning Millionaire in Zungeru due to Mal parity. If the west can manipulate us to turn our old currency to yoyo, we too must be wise to manipulate it back to the 1970s era where 1Usd = 60k or N 0.60

Lool it doesn't work that way. If you like redoniminate 1dollar to 50 kobo....if you don't address the root cause(s) of our naira instability, the redenomination will only make things worse

Let me help.you a little bit. Removing that 1 zero also removes 1 zero from the money in your account and 1/zero from our reserves too and our earnings too

How can redenomination stabilize naira. You want to create 300, 400, 2000 etc naira and you think that will stabilize naira against foreign currencies? These people are daft. Instead of increasing export, they are looking for ways to embezzle money

After Ghana did redenomination, their currency and economy crashed to the lowest since 1976. Inflation rises to all-time highest level.

More like N10,000 and N20,000 notes

I just don't know why Yar adua didn't allow Soludo to proceed with that plan....Soludo did a solid job in planning for naira. For reasons best known to Yaradua, he rejected the plan and went ahead not to reappoint Soludo....Reason why Obasanjo remains the best. He gave his team the opportunity to see through their plans andprogrammes. Yaradua or any northern president wouldn't have allowed the 2005 banking consolidation to happen.

Tinubu should not try the policy now. It is long outdated.....it would have been good if Soludo had implemented it then..... lots have changed since then, both at the micro and macro levels.....lots of economic determinants. The ship has sailed...Tinubu should explore other economic alternatives.

Obasanjo was the best ever.
He had everything needed to be a great president-- charisma, intelligence, strength/stubborness, competence...

He must sleep poorly at night seeing what Nigeria has now become.

God bless him sha.

The is the effects of overhyping a so called first class heroin drug baron criminal graduate of accountancy( who does not want his academic records displayed for public scrutiny) that was supposed to be a book keeper, but was garbbed in borrowed robes then criminally foist on a nation.

Now he is running a trial and error government in a country where the economic value of the dollar is abysmally useless, more that 90% of the populace are living below a dollar daily, multi-dimentional poverty everywhere, double-digits galloping inflation with concommittant forex scarcity.

No plans to encourage local production and enhanced export to balance out the trade deficits. Foreign mulit-conglomerate companies are folding up due to constricting economic realities. Welcome to balabloo-blu-bulava economics. Nigerians brace for impact.

When I read pseudo economic analysis like yours I smile at the emptiness of it all.
