Yes you can learn but you must understand that forex trading is one of the most demanding business mentally.

My advise is 3 folds.

(I) If you wanna learn forex,you should have another income machine so you get detached from the money while learning the ropes of the game and still paying yr bills

(Ii) you can subscribe to a reliable and tested signal service to do the abstraction for you.That way,you don't have to worry about the technicalities but you would have no idea what's under the hood.

(Ii) give your money to a trader with an unusual skill-set in the game and split profit with him or her.

You see,a good trader is like a card counter at the blackjack table.Over time the card counter removes money from the casino and that's exactly what the good trader does.
How does he do this?
He "WAITS" when the odds are stacked up in his favor and trades the next "WINNING RUN" using the Market Makers' business model.
Your job as a retail trader is to read meaning into what the Market Maker is doing,make sense of it and identify the next "WINNING RUN".
The chart which is the final arbiter for the Market Maker is employed as a gate keeper in their portfolio management system and does every profitable retail trader. You only need a handful of the MM biz model to await the next "WINNING RUN".

1. Greed.

2. Fear 😨.

I have had various investor come crying 😭 to me because someone have lost their trading account.

So.. If you have not learned the market system with patience, you will always lose.

Absolutely you can.
But there's a caveat.

Why would a broker provide you with excellent credit facility (leverage) and requires literally no collateral and extensive paper work from you?
Most rookies never ponder on this and more.The reasons are not far-fetched.
How does a broker get away with providing $30-$50 Million as regulatory capital and ends up borrowing $250 Million from an Investment Bank with an interest of 2% p,a? Because retail traders are gonna open accts and put money in them and when they do,those monies are collateralized as part of the revolving credit facility ($250M) and this will be farmed out to retail traders with super-high leverage to trade as often as possible with the largest lot sizes.
90% of traders loose 90% of their trading capital in 90days.This is a FACT with comprehensive data.
You can connect the dots from the last paragraphs above.
There is a thin line between traders' education by brokers,gurus,free software(mt4) free copy and trade and the massive failure associated with the retail community.That thin line is a conflict of interest in the guise of taking yr money(losses,margin call,stop loss etc).
Brokers just like banks are never in yr best interest.
So how do new traders come in when most loose out?
Through subliminal messages in commercials popping out on webpages,tv houses,radios,email,social media,forums etc.
Brokers spend a chunk of their interest on commercials to keep their biz afloat.

What is the way out?
The way out is recognising that a biz with a turn over of trillions of $$$$ daily cannot function without a blue print,a model only accessible to the big dogs which is encrypted on charts.You duty as a retail trader is to decrypt this.Unfortunately,indicators,tips from chart rooms,chart pattern, free educative forums,misleading financial performance by traders and gurus have been sold as the blue print to the unsuspecting herd.
This business is serious business and so should anyone willing to partake in it.
This game is well rooted deep in psychology.It's a demanding "MENTAL" game not a "MONETARY" game.When you conquer someone mentally, they become programmable robots at yr command.Money is just a by product of trading the right way(MM way).

So back to yr response about yr intellect.
It's got nothing to do with yr intellect or skill set, but everything to do with how you interact with the MM biz model.No matter what you do,yr genius capacity,you can never influence the outcome of the market.Even the big players cannot on some threshold.The market like energy, is self-sufficient,she is the one with infinite knowledge and understanding of her future direction and it is nothing more than "The minds of men".Their "BELIEFS".

And one more thang.
Since Goldan Sacs went public,they started putting out their yearly trade summary.
They loose 10% of their proprietary and algorithmic trades and win 90% of their proprietary and algorithmic trades.
If you invert the last paragraph and fix the retail community into it,you would get a mirror image of Goldman Sacs P&L on their yearly trades.
Invariably,it means all the retail trades passing thru' Goldman Sacs end of the ECN(Professional feed) win 10% of the time and loose 90% of the time.
It's a "CUT-THROAT" business.
You cannot succeed if you play against the rules.Acquaint yrself with the MM biz method and you would be profitable in the long run.
And also,high frequency trading aka day trading has been outsourced to algorithms because volatility,after the housing bubble in the US in 2008 have Petered to almost zero due to (QE) quantitative easing and a whole bunch of macro economic/political factors pre housing bubble of 2008.The almost empty trading pits of NYSE and COMMEX is a testament to this fact.
There are algorithms that predict what algorithm A wants to buy/sell and another that predicts what the algorithm that predicts what algorithm A wants to buy and the algorithms are cascaded in a recursive programming paradigm with micro seconds response time.
If you are clever enough to decipher the above statement,you would clearly see that the MM via their high-end algorithm already knows b4 you push the buy/sell button.
You literally stand no chance in high frequency trades if you don't understand the MM blue print.
The bread and butter of forex for the Banks is not in trading their own money(Proprietary),it is in Market making and intraday trading is where beast-mode is activated in Market Making.Thats where the Bank's via exchanges make their kill.
Proprietary trading has taken back seat over time.
You need to be thoroughly grounded in this game to make a cent.This is a FACT.
All the monies made by novices will be given back to the market with a good deal of "INTEREST".
Don't be fooled by statements of profitable trades and videos of people showing u profitable trades on youtube,SM etc.
In all my years of interacting with ex-investment bankers(The real professional retailers) that have left the industry to trade their own money or have joined hedge funds,none of them will show you account statements of profitable trades.Financial performances are given on request via their platforms because all these guys are regulated on a personal basis apart from company regulations by the regulatory agencies of NFA,ASIC,FINMA,etc.
You gotta have a pedigree and a sound financial performance track record which will be audited by a relevant agency for you to qualify for a personal regulation.
Only novices and chartalans would show you financial performance.
You have to be THOROUGHLY grounded in this game to make a cent in it otherwise,you would't have a shirt on over time.
