Emerald Fennell is one director I'm looking forward to. I loved Promising young woman and Killing Eve. From the story,Saltburn is giving me The talented Mr Ripley vibes and from what the steaminess I'm hearing, it's going to be "Blue is the warmest color" but with two men directed by a woman

I'm watching her closely.
Yeah, it's said the film will mimic The Talented Mr Ripley.

There was a scene in Ahsoka where a smaller ship docked in an open area in another bigger ship, I mean the docking area was opened to the outside while they were in space. Guess what, none of them were using a breathing apparatus bro, or are you saying that oxygen was supplied to the open area too??

The space looks open but it really isn't there's a magnetic field that ships can pass through but the magnetic field somehow traps their artificial atmosphere and preserve their artificial gravity. Its a common feature in star wars large warships. In certain animation of star wars I believe they do sometimes color the force field making it bluish if I am not mistaken.

They do have emergency airlock which can be activated if the magnetic field fails.

You can Google about it sha for more clarity.

Heart of stone 7/10.
My kind of action sequences, no unnecessary killings and bloodshed. Hope to see Alia Bhatt exploring more action roles in Bollywood.
Love the way felas song was used, I felt nostalgic.

Weekend Watch List

- Kiki's Delivery Service (1989)

In this anime feature, 13-year-old Kiki moves to a seaside town with her talking cat, Jiji, to spend a year alone, in accordance with her village's tradition for witches in training. After learning to control her broomstick, Kiki sets up a flying courier service and soon becomes a fixture in the community. But when the insecure young witch begins questioning herself and loses her magic abilities, she must overcome her self-doubt to get her powers back.

- Mortal Kombat (2021)

Due to circumstances that were most definitely within my control, I somehow ended up leaving this on the shelf till now. Even contemplated waiting till the sequel releases to watch it. But I woke up this weekend and something in me decided it was Kombat time.

Omo...
When you face some things on Reddit...you will thank Seun for making Nairaland open...

Reddit is the worst forum for sharing diverse opinion. Apart from the shîtty upvote/downvote system, it creates some sort of "safe haven" where people can even spread false information and if you try to correct them and inform them it's misinformation, you get permanent banned from that subreddit

The mods have unlimited power and misuse it anyhow...

One Reddit mod showed me shege...
He banned me for giving my opinion on a thread...when I was very civil ..

I messaged mods go ask why I was banned...he said I was banned for being an "àsshole" wtf
I asked which rule I broke...
He rained insults on me...

I waited for sometime to message mods, thinking another mod will see it, same mod deleted the thread I commented on and muted me

I googled some threads and saw similar complaints with a way to mail Reddithelp and how you would get punished cos the mod will falsely accuse you if you report him...

I reported to Reddithelp...they received my mail...
Hours later, I received 3 days ban from Reddit.

Imagine victim reporting insults from mod and then getting banned for reporting the mod grin grin

Reddit admins are the most useless set of people...they are only active when the mods lock threads to protest and Reddit is losing money...

Otherwise, you will get punished for even reporting a mod...and the mod can openly rain insults on you and even carry your matter to other subreddits to frustrate you...till you get banned from any subreddit you interact with grin grin

I also got banned from r/characterrant because someone criticized a show using false things that never happened in the show and I corrected the person...
Apparently the mod hates the show and banned and muted me...wtf

Happy Sunday.

Both sides have their benefits.

Reddit can get you information that you will not get anywhere else. If you are interested in science, technology, international politics and philosophy, reddit is the place.

Nairaland is the place for connecting with Nigerians and getting Nigerian gist.

Of course, both have their downsides as well. Reddit has always been hard when it comes to moderating it's users. Keep in mind that its users are in many times more than that of Nairaland.

cherish what you have. This is the reason I don't have a Facebook account anymore and I don't even use other social media platform. Atleast with Nairaland, the mods listen and respond to your complain adequately and Seun faults his mods and tell them to apologize if you can prove the ban you unjustly. Furthermore, "there's no place like home". 😁😁😁

They got married years ago, then the husband started divorce proceedings against the wife without her knowledge in another country they went to and got the divorce, kept quiet and continued to play the role of the perfect husband. About 2 decades later the truth came out when the wife wanted a divorce, and the wife sued the man to court asking the court to nullify the initial divorce done without her knowledge, as she won't receive shishi if the court didn't do that. She won't be qualified to receive spousal benefits as the marriage didn't reach a certain number of years as specified by the law. You can't divorce the same woman twice when you were only married once. So the man was using the woman as a roommate/sex mate for 20 years, while the woman thought she's the wife. 😂😂😂😂

the only advantage of Reddit is versatility. That's why it has the numbers

For every other thing, Reddit is awful
And is full of prîcks who somehow think they're above everyone else.

They trash Twitter opinions like they are actually better...when they are far worse

Reddit is an echo chamber. You have to tiptoe lol cos if you misyarn mods will ban you and the mods are usually very petty. I hate that platform and yet it has millions of Americans.

MEG 2: THE TRENCH --- 7/10

Irrespective of the negative reviews this movie have, I personally enjoyed it all thanks to its actions, the Meg attacks, characters chemistry, and hearty comedy. I don't know for others, but this movie to me was fun and entertaining.

TROPHY WIFE --- 3/10

This is a movie that tried so hard to be a crime mystery thriller but failed woefully. It was boring, dull, dry and bland. It had potentials but unfortunately its potentials weren't feasible. I pray Netflix or Amazon prime video does a way better remake someday.

INSIDE MAN --- 6.7/10

An engaging movie --- although boring at the beginning --- about redemption, crime, infiltration and the underworld.

JULES --- 7/10

A simplistic and amazingly interesting sci-fi comedy about friendship, family and aged life.

THE PASSENGER --- 2/10

One sentence, movie with potentials but unfortunately was ruined by a confusing and senseless plot. Like, what was the essence of the film?

* Okay, you killed people in a restaurant where you work, and you decided to abduct a fellow worker whose life you spared. Shouldn't the essence of that be to persuade him to keep shut and not rat you out, and also flee from the police? But no, rather we have a case of Benson (the killer) just moving around from place to place causing mayhem.

* Since one of the aim of the abduction is too flee from the police, shouldn't that be done quietly? Then why the assaults and shootings? Why bring unnecessary attention to yourself? Aside that, why move around town when you should have move out of town?

* What happened between Benson and Mr Shepherd back in the days to warrant an assault and murder on and of the latter by the former in the present? What happened? How come that wasn't shown or told? Was that not an incomplete story arc?

* What was the need of abducting Patricia? She didn't know you killed her boss, Mr Shepherd? She only got a call about his assault and death, and asked an innocent question regarding if you knew something about it. Rationality demands you just say no, give a convincing body language, and walk off, but no, you decided to abduct her also. What the fück! What was the need... the essence?

Of what use were the unnecessary dramas in the movie? What are the rationality behind them? To be candid, the movie was unnecessary, the plot was a total wack job.
