Yet people like MaxInDHouse and his likes will see Tamedu tomorrow and runaway because their brains have been manipulated not to know that the person they are not expected to associate with is the one who is still a brother not the one who is no longer a brother.

At first, he said they should remove him and shun him. Then later, he said everybody must not shun the guy. Just a few people should so that the guy wouldn't be taken over by Satan. Apostle Paul knew that every single person shunning somebody is disastrous and counter productive. He knew that it was extreme. So, he said some of the people in the congregation can associate with the guy while others can shun him.

Watchtower disregarded this part and went full shunning mode.

Paul was emphatic in saying any discipline that is to be taken on any member of the congregation should be a collective decision not some three men sitting to decide the faith of such person. The reason Jesus said in Matthew 18..... bring it to the congregation. In that way people will know what has happened and decides what to do with such person. Should some decides to stop associating completely good and fine and should others keep association to reform such person and bring them back to their normal standing, fine. The decision is for the whole congregation not some three men deciding what to do based on policies of a religious organization that are meant to protect the survival of the organization than the sheep.

You need to take it easy with them. You can't force a donkey to a stream to drink water. No matter how you present this facts to them, they will always argue. Take into consideration the fact that they've been told to view everything outside their organisation as "worldly" or "apostate" material. Most of them don't even know how to do research and how would they when their heads frown against university education where one is taught how to do proper research. When they argue with you don't get angry at them. Be empathetic to their situation. Some eventually realise the truth about their organisation but they can't even leave. If they do their family will shun them.

Going by the dire need of elders within that religious organization, he should be an elder by now in his congregation except of course he has not water the ground to te ile tutu of those ahead in that congregation of his as some of their elders and circuit overseers do.
