if only this military guys can rule well and really discipline themselves not to go the way of our corrupt politicians in Africa, they'll surely be accepted and applauded. Unfortunately they are hardly different. They not only become corrupt, they also take away the freedom of the people.
Any military guy that can look away from the allurement of money and women, will surely perform well and be remembered for it.

Autocracy is when you force urself on people that have said they don’t want you, kinda the same with Youknowwhere & Mr. Youknowwho. grin

Is Gabon a member of ECOWAS?
Of course not but this Gabon coup and the positive reception by the citizens negatively affects the justification for ECOWAS intervention in Niger where the citizens also received the coup with cheers.

Mr man your judgement is myopic an adopted son becomes legitimately part of the family that adopted him or her. Bola amed is an adopted son of the tinubu's family from lagos and his is a lagosian abi

Mr. President, Sir,

That is a warning and a wake-up call to you and your clique that if you co to ur to trample upon the breathe of your people and do not consider their welfare as your core priority, the wind will reach your side.

It is a clear wave to you, Sir.

What a time to be the Chairman of ECOWAS. President Tinubu will be like "Na who send me go take this post'. However, the task is not difficult for him. He should just call emergency meeting of ECOWAS and read the riot act, insisting on the following points though he lacks the requisite credibility at home front:
- Hold credible election.
- Obey the constitution on tenure of office.
- Don't steal money from the public treasury but use it to develop the country.
- Do your best , allow the people chose the next president and hand over power.

African Union wake and smell the coffee. It is time to change the dance steps.
Boiler plate thrash, you just wan comment for the sake of it, is Gabon an ECOWAS member?

Most nations of the world started via colonization, even America was colonized, most African nations were too...it's not just Nigeria where people of different tribes were brought together to form a nation. We are not peculiar, that's how majority of nations in the world started, different people of same continent/region brought together by a colonial head. Do your research. Those who can't live with others can isolate themselves, the world can not be what you want it to be.
Lmao comparing Nigeria with America shows u don't know what u are talking about

1) there is no country in the world that has Nigeria structure that's stable none... Roman Empire tried it for 600 years it failed

The most stable countries add ethnic nations 70% minimum or settler nations . .. It's impossible to have ethnic nations lumped together in almost equal power and expect it to work .. Impossible

Most nations in Africa too, or you can't read?

Am telling you what is, how most nations of the world came to be, I used America because most of you look up to America and the West. English people or Anglo Saxons, present day Great Britain too were colonized by Romans, they were people of different tribes too, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Anglo people and Saxons. You are just here on nairaland venting, it can't change what is, you will wait, get old and die, Nigeria will still be here. Read history and learn, Nigeria is not peculiar.

My point is you people saying people can't be forced together, sound quite ignorant, it's the way 85% of nations of the world was formed, through colonization.

Well anyone who wants to see democracy endure in any African state including Nigeria must do the hard work to establish, run and prosper it.

If anyone feels anyone doesn't matter then they remove the breaker that regulates it and a blow up is inevitable.

For the Gabonese it is too late for the ruling party and head of government to make democracy work even if he wanted to.

I don't care what happens in Niger or Garbon but I can bet you, Nigerians are not stupid. Even the Obidients wouldn't want Igbos chance of becoming Nigeria president shifted another 50 years into the future due to some mindless coup

Wike rigged election for Tinubu in River state and was rewarded with Minister of Abuja. We know what ElRufai and his colleagues did in the North.
Why are we tolerating this in Nigeria.
How did we get here?

You and a few minority are complaining and want break up, not all of us. Problems with Africa will not end just by separation and breaking up along ethnic lines. Problems of corruption and man's inhumanity to man exists within our state governments, local government and even wards. It's about changing the way we talk, changing the way we treat each other, being more conscious and less corrupt and criminal minded. Breaking up Nigeria is not the answer, the answer is in the individuals, we make up the system.

A few years ago. Ibos on nairalander selected his re-election for a 2nd term. It even made front page. Despite the fact that Ali Obongo and his father robbed Gabon blind and impoverished the country in their combined 54 years hold onto power.

However, Chukwuabiama is great. Anything una touch gets destroyed. You prayed for a coup, and you got a coup in Gabon to displace your corrupt Ibo kinsman. grin

When when autocracy veiled as democracy makes you wretched, why not try the real democracy tagged autocracy?
In Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and now Gabon, military takeovers were celebrated by people. Isn't that democracy? Must democracy be in a life-destroying Paris style?

I don't pray such fate befalls Nigeria, but majority of Nigerians will be happy if such happens. That's how fed up people are of this made-for-the-elites democracy.

Start doing better, Mr Tinubu. The streets aren't smiling this time. There's tension in the atmosphere
Southeast is not a majority brah.
