Nigeria to china is about 12 hours while UK is only about 7 hours. The UK are just trying to monopolise the frequencies because they know our government are toothless dogs. Indigenous flights would be obviously cheaper and they know most Nigerians will prefer it to them, plus majority of Nigerians visit the UK and not otherwise. I dont know if you understand this but Falana was right. This is not about Standard as Airpeace is even better than some African carriers that are allowed in the UK they are only taking advantage of us as we seff no rate ourself

A simple research will reveal to you what Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) stands for and what the status of BASA between Nigerian and the Uk Is .
Further research will tell you that Nigeria has always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to achieving BASA parity between her and more economically advanced nations. In fact, we have about 70 BASA with different countries that we’re currently unable to enforce

Also UK is quite notorious in that regard and we’ve had issues with them since the Obasanjo’s time when Arik was flying that route. Though we stood up to them that time as forced them to the negotiating table and ARIK was able to get 12 slots on London -Lagos route while BA and Virgin had 21 .
