Hello House, I would like to submit my CDR + Experience assessment for a chemical engineering role to Engineers Australia. The problem is that the job designation in my employment letter and payslips does not match with the Chemical Engineering Profession. designation in my offer letter and payslips is Procurement Engineer (Production/Process) while my job experience for 5 years is Process Engineer (Which is also a chemical engineer). I was given the role of chemical engineer in the procurement Dept without changing the designation in my payslips and offer letter for about 5 years now. Please how can I claim the 5 years of experience, please how do i clarified to EA regarding my chemical engineering experience? Are there any documents I can use to replace the Offer letter & Payslips? Please someone with experience should help and respond to my questions |

sdabo:Get your employer to include the explanation in the reference letter. You can also include your team's organisational chart. These and well-written JDs should fly |

sdabo:Offer letter is not compulsory. What you need is letter from your employer showing you work there, your job descriptions and salary. I think there is a template somewhere on this thread or previous one. For your payslip, you can use bank statement, tax clearance and pension statement |

chinae:If you look for a trade occupation that aligns, it will be better. Quicker invitation especially if it is an in-demand occupation. |

bellong:What occupation are you assessing with acs? How many years of work experience do you have as at today? What is your points score 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 or 100? 189 nomination was cool towards the end of last year and sometimes at the first quarter of this year. No one knows what it will become later this year. Because at those times I mentioned, 65 above got nomination on 189. But I must tell you IT occupations are super competitive and very hard to get nomination these days especially for Skill Level 1 IT occupations. Some people like my self had to go through Trade recognition Australia to assess as ICT Technician nec 313199 even after waiting for 2yrs at 80pts as System analyst (skill level one occupation) between 2021/2023. But the moment I opt for trade occupation, in just 7days I got nomination from NSW for 190 @ 85 points. I am not trying to discourage you about 189, but to have plan B should the 189 becomes tough again. You can as well create EOI for all visa subclass one for each for each state. There are a lot of Indians who has got beautiful IT work experience, studied here, got 90+ points but unfortunately, they are not getting invite on 189 or even 190. Some state are stringent with 190 while others do not. NSW and ACT are liberal with 190, but not SA, WA, and NT as well as QLD. So, please work around creating EOI for 491 as well. This visa class is not bad. Some people who go about talking down on it simply do not have one. Note: I am onshore and still studying at a uni. All the best. |

Thanks Vincentosa & Bellong. I'm Accessing for Network Administrator with ACS as that is the body listed for my skill class. I have cumulative 12Years work experience across various sectors as at today. When I used the point calculator, i had 75points. ACS states that the assessment process takes approximately 8-10 weeks. Kindly put some light to the Plan B, let me start looking it up while waiting for ACS's result. I can't create EOI till the assessment result is out. Vincentosa: |

chommi:you cannot assess as a Data Analyst with ACS with an Economics degree. You need a computer science degree. You would have been able to but you will need at least 6-8 years experience for ACS to deduct to substitute for non relevant degree |

Can one assess with TRA using Bachelor's degree? Also, is there any advantage assessing with Engineers Australia over TRA for someone with a Bachelor's degree? Vincentosa: |

Vincentosa, MrsJoycey1. Thanks a lot guys. Once the assessment result is out, I will create EOI for 189,190 and 491 as advised. I will come back for more questions if need be, so please don't get tired yet ![]() ...for now, I'll wait for the 10-12 weeks mentioned by ACS. MrsJoycey1, congrats once again. May your relocation decision favor you and your family. |
