UnconventionalT:

Thank you o. He simply said I do not deserve to be helped not because of anything but because I am an introvert. I don't even know how that sounds to him or her.
Is it now a criminal offence to be an introvert? I love my space like he saw in the previous post, but does that mean I have lived in isolation away from people all my life?
And at this critical point of pregnancy, I don't know why my introversion should be a problem in getting an accommodation around people.
I'd have been totally fine with airbnb if I am not pregnant, but I cannot risk living alone in such setting when I know how unpredictable pregnancy can go. May God help us.

Don't stay alone but not really because of medical emergency, you can always call 911 for that. Depression, postpartum depression etc are real.

Honestly I won't advice a family member to come to Canada alone to have a baby if they don't have a host willing to offer emotional support. If they're coming with spouse, family, good friend etc then it's a different story.

Construction profession is best for you, depending on the lifestyle you want, but make sure you join one of the trades unions like locals 183 (residential constructions), 506 (labourers construction), 27 (carpenters union), 79 (heavy equipment/crane operators), 793 (plumbers union), 353 (electricians union) and so on.
The good thing with construction is that once you are union member, you don’t need all these resumes and will never be scared of loosing your job if you decide to take a long vacation. As a unionized construction worker, you get paid well and get most benefits for yourself and family that most other profession don’t get. Benefits like medical, dental, physio, travel insurance, partial scholarships for your kids, optical and others I can’t think of now, but them plenty. You even get benefits for marijuana if you’re into weed too, provided you have a doctor’s prescription. You can decide to work 6-8 months in a year and use the remaining 4 months to do other things/business if you like. It gives you flexibility like mad. Some people work 8 months during the warmer months and go on EI during the winter months.
And once you have your red seal or journeyman permit in construction, you can even work in the US.
Well done boss you really make my day.
Thank you for this wonderful information Please am a construction worker please how can I join this union. Please the answer will be appreciated.

You don’t have to be an engineer to apply. You only need to be a Canadian resident/citizen and apply as an apprentice in f you don’t have any experience in any of the trades. Once you get into one the unions, you will be trained and fully absolved into the union in 18 months. You can still earn while training, though you get paid the apprentice rate, which is even higher than the average minimum wage. After 18 months, you start receiving your full benefits/pay rate.
Thw
thank you boss you are doing well

The jobs you would need are In SE where u can get 22 per hour above. But be ready to work intercontinental shift of 12 hours (88 hrs biweekly).

Go to all those companies at SE (air liquid, shawcor, sobey, dynasty etc etc) with your CV at hand and submit hard copies.

U can try aerotek or randstad as well as they God bless you Boss. are job agencies.
God Bless you Boss, please I will love to connect with you.

Good luck.

Quote me on a dead thread
I will give u some email address for recruiters in aerotek or randstad.

Also, canadian pacific is recruiting actively for train conductors in calgary (107k annually) no experience required. They had their job fair and on the spot job offer on Thursday at Glenmore SE. I know of some Nigerians that got offer that same day.

You can still apply on line though as the advert was posted for calgary location yesterday as well.

You need to convert that 10m to cad and try as much as possible to check the amount for rent preferably 6months upfront. Then you can see if it's enough or not.

depends on your location. Some places you’d pay as high as 2000$ monthly as rent. Do the maths.

Using Oanda it's $17,361.9 as of today.

Naira value might drop further, so I'm guessing it may not be feasible, cos we are targeting Sept 2024

Canada is large. You have to specify where. Toronto? Elsewhere in Ontario, Alberta? Not the same cost.

If you are staying in Ontario, I think you will struggle.

Please do a thorough research before you move
