When you hear them saying "this life no balance" you think say na joke abi? We humans put ourselves into unnecessary competition, just to feel among.. Going into various unhealthy activities,depriving us of peace of mind... But I don't think the Western world sees life ,the way we blacks sees it as competition..

This is a great piece. It complement the cause and effect theory postulated by Braun and Isaac Newton's third law of motion . I tried using the cause and effect theory on understanding the mind of a rapist sometimes ago but I was met with closed doors everywhere. I realize most Nigerians do not care about why you act the way you do but how you act the way you do. It's crazy really because in the long run we keep going in circles without getting solutions to even basic issues of life.How do we solve a problem without understanding the cause? People of other races understand the cause and effect theory and it's one of the reasons they are above us.
We always expect the best of people without trying to acknowledged or understand the struggle. Hence the mantra "People wants to see the glory not the story" We just want to see the good part. Lol look at where we are now.

In as much as I personally try to understand the rationale behind people's actions I have come to realize also that I tend to make excuses for people's bad behavior. Some people are just goats in and out,past present and future. They are goats because they are naturally goats .
This brings me to the conclusion that stirring the surface, and uncovering the hidden shouldn't be an excuse to justify the darkness. Use the past to modify the present not to justify it.

Just as the truth will set you free, authenticity will make people open to you. And by being authentic, it is not just being human but being humane.

They need to see you as someone who is equally vulnerable, share their fears, and identify with their struggles, so they do not feel alienated in their reality.

The reason over 5000 people followed Jesus was because he identified with them. There was no hierarchy in their interactions, and he played with kids. Lepers, cripples, and the sick all came to him, and he heal them.

It is that simple. A lot of people are uptight because the world around them is not accommodating of their human challenges. So rather than being ridiculed for needing 5k, better to just fake it and be respected.

Everyone wears a mask. Circumstances reveal the number of masks tied to our faces.

Being honest will not make everyone treat you right. Especially in the corridors of power and a bit further, romance.

Your honesty will enter a place where it will become "disturbing and uncomfortable" for those whose ways are corrupt. And you'll be eliminated if not careful.

It's a matter of being strategic with the people you deal with. Be ready to have many cards to play with because you don't know what your opponent or friend is bringing to the board. Just be prepared.

This can drive one to become paranoid, and it is not meant to be. It's to make you aware of the travails and politics of life.

Identifying poisonous chemicals doesn't make all chemicals poisonous. However, it makes you aware of which chemical to stay aloof from or how to handle poisonous chemicals.
Replace chemicals with humans.
