This police officers are criminals in uniform. Just yesterday I cousin of mine called from Ikot Ekpene akwaibom ibom state to tell me how students of the polytechnic are being molested and harassed by the police officers. And whenever they arrest them with evidence or no evidence they'll ask you to drop something after threatening you hell and brimstone. This menace has to stop. Young people are struggling with no jobs, food or even secured future in this country yet the most hated group.

Tell me how a man who does business with at least these sets of people can b on dread n tattoos?

Leave d insults n let’s face reality

The kind of business I do makes me meet different sets of people so I know more than u can say, I once had an apprentice that is always on face cap, many clients complained about it n some even thought maybe he’s a criminal trying to hide his face

One client told me point blank that I shouldn’t bring him to his house anytime we plan coming, if people can complain about a guy wearing face caps all d time so u are saying if u work with reasonable people they will see dread n tattoos as normal abi?

I dont need to go further with you. I am a computer science graduate.

There is what they call work from home or hybrid work and if the company allows you with that kind of hairstyle good and fine.

Most of what you said is correct but you cant now put everything inside a box and generalize

Not everyone on dreads is a Yahoo boy or in the Entertainment industry

Very correct, but unfortunately some people from the region that worship money in all Thier life will not agree. They make money by dubious business strategies e.g second shop that does not exist, selling fake items as original. Imagine calling higher and on imaginable prices for items e.g 10k items they first tell you is 50k, and to them this is smartness. It's a pure dishonesty ,fraud and robber. To them Anyhow you must be rich.

I see serious comprehension problems with your post. I think what the spokesperson is simply saying is that you don’t need to pay officers when they stop you. What are you paying for? Is this not how it’s supposed to be?

So it's right to extort people, because you feel their means of income is not genuine. What is wrong with us as a people? How did we get this far? I weep for this country.

There's always someone with a hasty generalization...."I have seen where police even threatened to kill an innocent young boy and throw his body into the bush and his family will not know. He has to part with all he had in his account to save his life.
There are a lot of young men that are making a fortune from content creation and cryptocurrency. Are these not legitimate income?"

what led to that?

Are u telling me d officer met him on d way n just told him he will kill him?

If an officer should see 100k in a g boys account they will want to collect 50k once they know u are illegal n failure to do that they will give u problem

Those yahoo boys know they are into illegal n they won’t want to follow police to station so as not to complicate issues so they have to pay to bail themselves out

It’s as simple as that, once u know u are guilty u will have to dance to d tune of d police

Police don burst boys for road before n they searched their phone n found incriminating things, d boys ran into d street n police started shouting thief thief n people caught them only for them to later say they were yahoo boys n not thief when they wanted to burn them

One question, y were they running?
Y did they run?

Adejobi's response raises important questions about the challenges young Nigerians face with police extortion. It highlights the issue of corruption within law enforcement and the pressure on individuals with limited means of income. However, his comments also underscore the need for systemic reforms and improved policing practices to address these issues effectively and protect the rights of all citizens.
