Sometime last year when I bought my car and didn't know how to even use the Google app, na that time I know say there is a difference between being driven in lagos and you actually doing the driving. I was on that expressway heading to gbagadĂ  and didn't know how to find my way to oshodi then. I no even know wetin the map dey talk. I say a police patrol van. I drove to them and told the officer, oga I am lost. I don't know my way. Man asked me to calm down and asked me where I wanted to be. Told him I needed to get back to oshodi. He explained it vividly to me. Infact three other police guys came around to join him in explaining how I needed to drive. And I followed their description and got back to oshodi. Na for that highway I even stop ask them this question and they saw say true true this man no know where him dey go. A lot of bad eggs abound sha. Such would have arrested me there sef for illegal parking because I was not supposed to if u follow the lagos state traffic law.

You are right some of the bad eggs were the ones tarnishng their image

Generally, cops in Abuja are good. They even pay fares when they board buses, it was a cultural shock for me when I was new in Abuja.

That's true.

If I knew d future was dis bright, I would have been eating my money small small, sleeping and exercising, dressing tight and rehearsing for today. grin
however e hailing taught me how to be enjoying life as a 2nd class citizen and racism. Cos in my own country as Uber driver I was insulted and treated like low class citizen but cos of fear of 1star/blocking u go maintain grin

What an average Uber driver experience in Lagos is worse than racism.

No be lie

The kind insult and embarrassment that comes with this hustle can make a soft man slip into depression, thank God for my patience, I no dey exchange words again, once you talk anyhow and insult me, I just concentrate on the driving and take you straight to your destination, 1star no dey even move me again
.

I have collected many 1 star and bolt have never blocked my account for once except for one time they gave me suspension for driving a different car

Is a fact you can't deny it just because you had bad experience with few amongst them

Until your brother who is a uniform police office denies you in station then you will know police is not your friend neither your brother

The main reason I dish the Uber hustle is, na me dey pay you, if I don't drive you won't pay your rent or pay you staff, I own my car, I fuel it, maintain it and do many other things yet you will tell me where to go, and how much to charge and even still have the guts to block my account... Like I don't understand!

He who pays the piper dictates the tune.

But in this case it's the other way round

Lol if I was would I come here and put up this post askin for advice, cmon be smart at least. I don’t wanna be unrealistic reason I came here also I’ve seen post of Uber drivers making 45k per day minus fuel and Uber commission so let’s calculate. If he works for 6 days times 45 that’s how 270k. But I was thinking can this be real? If not everybody for don join Uber since ma why I came here to have insight from people who are in the business full time especially now fuel don go up. My target is at least 250k a month!! Anything less I just sell my car.

Bros, it is feasible..My driver dey remit 75k now per week and there is no problem as everything is going on right....Don't allow anyone to drag you back sir. They will tell you it's not possible, your car will suffer, they will even insult you but all na lie, na old format to protect the crazy money they make daily in this Hussle...80k is fine, just make sure you have a sound car ...Just read like 20 page backward, see the dashboard and make your decisions..Make ur decision based on "dashboard evidence" wey you see and not the nonsense they write here...I never even add OFFLINE o....that one na the "gas" wey dey oil & gas...No forget say na you sweat buy the car ..ehailing is the new oil..Cheers

The bad eggs on Lagos roads are mainly state officials eg. lastma, cbd, and local govt staff touts (those ones don't wear uniform)

Ordinarily yes, but this is a buyers' market

If you stop selling your services on e-hailing today, about five (recently retrenched from office) drivers are struggling to register in your place. Naija economy is tanking, seriously

Considering how well you've hidden your location over the years, you may want to remove the screenshot. You just gave it away.

Na so I ask the police men wey pack their car there say weda road pass there, na so one of the police men shout at me say "Oga move this car now or I arrest you"
