Youths protest, demand justice for Mohbad in Ogun, others

Some youths gathered on Tuesday morning in the Panseke area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, demanding justice for the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The youths who gathered in their numbers at the skating ground arena in Abeokuta wore blacks and carried placards with inscriptions like #JusticeforMohbad and #WhoOffLight among others.

Also, youths believed to be fans of Mohbad stormed Effurun Road in Delta State, bearing placards to demand justice for the late singer.

These peaceful rallies are coming days after a protest was launched in Ikorodu, Lagos, in seeking justice for Mohbad.

Mohbad died last Tuesday and was buried on Wednesday in Ikorodu, and his death has attracted concerns, as some accused the owner of Marlian Records and singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.

Renowned artistes have taken to social media to join in demanding justice for the late music sensation.

The Lagos State Police Command has vowed to probe his death, and it inaugurated a special investigation team on Monday.

Just make sure you don't destroy public infrastructure. The police and the authorities are already involved. I don't understand the essence of this protest.

His death was very unfortunate as well as avoidable. After the altercation he had with the "deadly gang', he wrote a petition to the police (addressed to the Ass. Inspector General of Police, FCID Lagos) complaining of threat to life and malicious damage to property yet the Police could not arise to their responsibility for over two months of him writing the petition. Police could not secure him neither did they take action to go after his assailants. No, they did nothing!. It's after his death that Police started forming committee to look into what killed him. Very shameful and regrettable!!.
The Nigerian Police failed the poor soul. Had it been that the Police did one or two arrests, perhaps this boy would have been alive today. If it were to be in the developed climes, the Police hierarchy in that dept would have resigned or been sacked at the death of this boy. In fact, simply put, Police (laxity) is the major factor to his death.

The average Nigerian doesn't know what's important.

A drug user that likely died from drug abuse is who people are protesting over.

Nigerians are looking for a way to vent the poverty anger on the government. They’re just waiting for an avenue to implode the country. The leaders should start doing well.

Use your brain if you have one.
He died in such a "dodgy" manner and his family hurriedly buried him to hide the cause of death.
Does that make sense to you?

Normal family who wants justice preserve such body.

A recent data shows they have the highest number of out of school children in the South. No protest. It is protest for some rif RAF yahoo singers that is worrying them. Are they not the people calling everyone out when Naira Marley was having ordeal with the police? They will also protest against MC OLUOMO in the future, mark my words.

Awolowo must be turning in his grave for the set of people he gave FREE education. Today the certificateless, the AGBEROS and touts are in charge of everywhere. Reason Jonathan said he will not be alive and watch rascals take over south West.

Chai see as You dey mumu yourself for public na grin so as you dey so,your life no fit get meaning if you no do tribal hate and gbasgbos for nairaland grin
