You don't need data to know that two cities in the same area or region with access to everything will be at par in more or less everything while specializing in different directions but Ogbomosho has advantage in population while Cotonou has advantage in infrastructure especially power if not for that Ogbomosho will be ahead without a doubt. It has a huge agrarian sector which can not be as much in Cotonou. Majority of the tobacco used in BAT Ibadan is grown there apart from many other crops, then all the typical sectors in any city. People remain there only because they are making money there and over one million people are there
I only need data when you refer to number of millionaires. Because based on the eye factor, Cotonou looks like the city with more millionaires.
It has a much larger population of whites and white owned businesses and it's many times more beautiful and planned.

You don't understand how the economy works. Manufacturing industries with what percentage of the workers on minimum wage?. Assuming no homeless since cost of living is bearable. No homeless in Ogbomosho too and in Ogbomosho the average young man who is also an artisan is expecting a couple of millions every year from produce farming. They have produce merchants and the average produce merchant is a HNI. Therefore when you shake everything down, you will discover that a city of 1.5 million will always be richer than the one of only one million people especially if infrastructure is uniform

One, the infrastructure is not uniform. Cotonou is far advanced.
They live in much better houses. Manufacturing industry generates much more wealth than agriculture in every part of the world. China became rich when they moved from agriculture to manufacturing.
They have a more stable currency and far better government

Yes I agree totally but the fufu, gsrri, pure water, clothes, barbing, bakery etc industries in Ogbomosho is much larger apart from the passive income from farming. I mean they just wait for the crops to grow
