Curious345:In Indonesia their minimum wage is in millions of their currency like 3.5 million rupiahs Ours is supposed to be approximately at least 150, 000 naira. Minimum wage of 1970 is far higher than 2023 min wage of 30k. So Nigeria has retrogressed, it has gone backward in terms of wages. 1 Like |

[it is Raila Odinga not Raul Odinga and the name of the current president is William Ruto not Uhuru Kenyatta and I promise you there is no power sharing in Kenya. Get your fact right mister quote author=Curious345 post=125953200] this would sound as good news : but Nooo. But the naira is almost like tissue paper 📜. That Increase will basically achieve nothing .. I still believe Tinubu should relinquish 65% of his presidential powers to peter obi . Just like the Kenya example where Uhuru Kenyatta split power with Raul Odinga.. Tinubu and his cohorts are extremely confused . Peter obi is the magic Dust they need [/quote] |

Olachase:So what are you suggesting? Are you saying that government should have maintained minimum wage of N18 they were paying per month in 1970 and continue paying it in 2023? N18 monthly salary in 2023 how does it sound to you? This is what you are advocating and what you would have done if you were President. |

chatinent:It's not. A professor currently earns around N450,000 (same thing he's been earning since 2009). If you add 25% to that, it's N562,500. For a whole professor. Is that for accommodation or to see your kids through school? Now, that is a crying shame. 1 Like |
