This isn't statesmanly, mr VP. Well I'm not expecting much from the ones who rigged themselves into power anyways

It seems Shettima has a low IQ, does he expect all his ex-classmates to be VP?
The first class graduate is languishing in a local bank while he himself is a billionaire courtesy of the corrupt system of politics we have. He should keep shut because all he has, he got from politics.
He just buttressed the point. A nation where the sole measure of success is based on the amount of wealth one has is heading certainly heading for doom as everyone will do anything possible to amass the wealth.
Nigeria is a case study, many are now into rituals and all forms of evil just to amass this wealth in order not to be seen as a failure.

It's why Nigeria with so much talent has little to show for itself. The brilliant talents in the country are often relagated to the back, the not so smart ones whose educational qualification may not even be doubted are the ones that take power

If not because of Corruption and stealing, how much is the VP's salary and Allowance? But, because they steal public funds they are counting their selves lucky. And we are clapping our hands for them

There's nothing wrong in what he said, however he lacks presentation and delivery. He didn't mean to denigrate the person of Oladipo but was telling them that there are many more qualifying people like his course mates hence the need to humble themselves and do their best for the masses.
I don't like APC government for anything and 'll never ever support them but it's actually stupid to be quoting him out of context. As an Obidient, I tell you for free that there's nothing wrong with his statement.

There's one Zombie like that, JaganB who told me I'm among "poor masses" and not "elites" because I'm not intelligent like the elites.
At least you can hear from the VP who just admitted what you their media cows whom they pay stipends for the work of defending them online lack the common sense to understand.
Being in political position especially in a dysfunctional state like Nigeria is not a result of intelligence or even hardwork.
Though he shouldn't have mentioned the guy's name, (and I don't think being a DGM is a terrible thing like the VP described) the point he's trying to make is that political office in Nigeria is more of ethnic identity than competence.
A WAEC holder in Borno has a brighter chance of becoming a political office holder than a PhD holder in Oyo or Ekiti. Matawalle is one such example.

Mr Shettima’s recent remark cements his reputation as a politician who lacks tact in communicating an opinion without denigrating others.

https://gazettengr.com/my-ex-classmate-usman-oladipo-languishing-as-general-manager-in-nigerian-mediocre-bank-shettima/
The only advantage shettima had over oladipo is cause he came from a disadvantaged state, his MSc was like a certificate issued to supreme being and that gave him that leeway to excel in the midst of nothingness.
If he were to be from oladipo's state, he won't even be chosen to run for common councillor.

Please before showcasing your ignorance on SM, always do a little research. A DGM in a bank has annual renumeration of about 30m with other benefits. He is in no way a small person in that organisation. If you research properly, you might not find up to 50 DGMs in all the banks in the country.

It's Deputy General Manager not Branch Manager.
It shows you don't understand banking system and office cadre to think General manager is same with Branch manager.
A General Manager is actually in charge of the General Services Unit of a bank. It's Senior Manager position comparable to the Head of Audit and Internal Controls or Head of Banking Operations.
The VP is downgrading the guy because it's probably polaris as you've said or a bank in that same level. If it was Zenith or First Bank, he wouldn't denigrate him like that. His shade is more about the bank and not the position

There's a lot wrong with his statement and it has nothing to do with being an Obidient. He shouldn't have mentioned the guy's name.
Secondly, that's the guy's achievement in life and he shouldn't have denigrated it like that except you don't know what it means to "languish".
Lastly, delivery is important in every communication and no one should be more aware of this than a politician. This is not the first time. Shettima speaks like an extremist. And an arrogant one at that.

A DGM is next to a GM, ED, DMD the bank MD
A lot of banks don’t even have DMD so that’s just 3 steps to bank MD and this common thief is calling it a mediocre achievement

What a disparaging and unstatemanly comment about a former colleague coming from the VP of an illegitimate government who rigged themselves in with the connivance of INEC.

You made a bit of sense but blew it off by using "illegitimate" president. Pls give me the name of the legitimate president your village sworn-in?
